You know what might be the next rabbit hole.

The engine cylinder spacing.....hmm.

It’s notorious that the engine representation of this kit is somewhat .... strange. The design team at Trumpeter did not seem to have understood that a radial was long, not because of the space between cylinder banks, but because of the accessories on the back of it ...

Other rabbit hole is actually a bulge rather than a hole, on he rear fuselage behind the canopy...

But then your goal is to go easy without all these worries ;)

Yes the bulge is there Hubert and I won't be taking drastic measure to fix it.

The engine bank on the surface only seems like a few snips to bring the rear bank forward,...and then lengthen the exhaust tubes to match.

Thanks for checking it out.

Hey Hellcat fans.

Got some primer on the seat, it looks really good.

I also took some time and sculpted a new grip, the kit one was yuk. Still needs some refinement but getting there.

I would also argue that it more looks like a depression in the plastic than a bulge, you can see hints of it in the shot above.

Shouldn’t that depression continue right to the rear cockpit bulkhead in some form?  I’m no Hellcat expert, but it seems to me if you sanded the bulge down to soften that bulge, then combine it with judicious use of paint shading,  it would go a long, long way toward eliminating it.

I’ll set up a shot to illustrate, but yeah.

its not that big of a deal to me, but if you deepened the rivet and panel lines you prob could sand it out.

If the plastic was thinner you might even be able to put a bulkhead in and force the plastic out a smidge to make the transition smoother.

Ok it’s a bulge.
