BlrwestSiR
Getting there Harv. I've come across a few kits where they make you slice off rivets or numbers from a sprue and glue them onto other bits. I think I tried it once and gave up. But that was in 1/35 so the rivets were much tinier. Carl
harv
The "added" rivets were not as bad as i first thought. The do stand a bit proud so you can get a thin saw under them.....harv

BlrwestSiR
Nice! How did you bend the tubing without it crimping?
harv
When I was at Hobby Lobby a month ago I picked these up. Insert tube into "spring" and bend. The tightness and flexibly bends without crimping. Theses made by K&S. $5......HARV 6

The classic way to do it is to fill the tube with fine grained sand properly before bending, but the coil thing looks interesting. DocRob
Looking great Harv, are you planning to show the engine, would be a shame to hide your nice work. Cheers Rob

I've seen plumbers use these in 'real life' scale to bend copper pipe but never seen them for modelling. $5 seems a bit of a steal.
