Peterpools Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 Oliver Your abilities seem to have no limits. The cabin and the wrecker truck look simply stellar. 1
Peterpools Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Oliver Incredible scratch work and the detailing is brilliantly done. Always a pleasure to see your latest update and never disappointed. 2
shark64 Posted April 7, 2023 Author Posted April 7, 2023 I had to remake the door since I made a mistake in the way it opens and detailed the inside outside...ooops. Still need to add the glass to the cabin, I need to paint the inside first before I add the wall. I am not crazy about the control sticks so may redo that as well. I also added a sliding window on the door and the back little window(not in the picture). 8 1
Peterpools Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Oliver Your devotion to miniaturizing the real McCoy is beyond comprehension. I truly believe this is the craftsmanship museums would do backflips over and request for display. Incredible work. 2

shark64 Posted April 9, 2023 Author Posted April 9, 2023 Working on the crane till I receive the AK paint from Spain so I can finish the cabin interior. The cabin and the hydraulic fluid tank will be attached to the crane frame. I need to build the support rig for the engine so I can work on the right angle of the crane mast. 7 2
Peterpools Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Oliver Incredible work - just amazing. I wish I could understand how you look at photographs and then visualize how to recreate then in scale. No question, it's a very special gift. 4
shark64 Posted April 13, 2023 Author Posted April 13, 2023 Thanks Pete. I am changing the platform, the cabin is too high and it looks silly. ....Just a minor hick up. Will post soon. 3
shark64 Posted April 15, 2023 Author Posted April 15, 2023 New platform for the crane. I got my paint from AK(sold few photos for one of their upcoming story on scrachbuilding). Now I can finish the crane cabin. 9 2

Peterpools Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Oliver Nice decision on replacing the crane floor - the diamond plate looks great. Perfectly executed. Congrats on sale to AK for adding photographs to their upcoming book - surely, they will be the star of the show. Also very interested in your opinion on how the new AK acrylics shoot and work - please let us know with a short tutorial. 2

Will let you guys know how it goes down. 2
shark64 Posted April 17, 2023 Author Posted April 17, 2023 The cabin and the oil tank are finally off the platform(not glued yet). It's time to install the hydraulics cylinders.
