What is on your bench right now ? Share a picture :)
Spitfire replied to Martinnfb's topic in Modelling Discussion
Hi Peter, the Revell Spitfire while not in the same class as the Tamiya Spitfires is a nice build, the Barracuda stuff is great for enhancing it, I think I used a YAHU IP on mine. A lot of the information I used on the build was from the late Edgar Brooks who reviewed the kit when it first came out, here's a link to the Britmodeller thread containing Edgar's summary. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234962817-new-revell-132-spitfire/ Cheers Dennis -
This is not nice at all, for gaps my technique is similar to John's I normally use scrap plastic pushed into the gap and then liberal quantities of CA, followed by accelerator and sand smooth before the CA goes too hard. Good Luck Dennis .

Thank you Peter it will probably be a C202, but I will still buy the Italeri one if it has good reviews just to try and encourage them to build more Italian WW2 subjects. Cheers Dennis -

Nice one, sure looks like a B of B Spitfire to me. Cheers Dennis -
Next up....Revell Mk II Spitfire

Hi John, the station keeping lights were fitted to some Mk.I and II Spitfires, I found out on my build too late as I had attached them and sanded them smooth. This is what Edgar had to say, station keeping lights," which might have been coloured like the navigation lights, but that remains a mystery, for now. Cheers Dennis -
My SOD is full. Or in other words, SQUIRREL!!!

There are some impressive kits in that list, I think I've only failed to finish two kits, one 1/72 and one 1/48, they were both just too small for my sausage fingers. Cheers Dennis -

The sooner the better otherwise I will have to build my PCM version. Cheers Dennis -
Yes that's the one, the RAF Museum gave a firm a Spitfire to pay for the recovery, which was successful, however the Egyptian authorities claimed the aircraft. It has since been given a dodgy restoration. The remains of the pilot have not been found. Cheers Dennis

1/48th HP Halifax BIII - Fonderie Miniatures
Spitfire replied to ThomasProbert's topic in Non LSM 'WIP
Great result from a really "challenging" kit, if a mainstream manufacturer was to bring out a modern 1/48 Halifax I would buy it in a heartbeat. Cheers Dennis -

Next up....Revell Mk II Spitfire
Spitfire replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Hi John, built one of those way back in 2016, I got a tweak list from the late Spitfire expert Edgar, this involved me using lots of Barracuda part, the Edgar list is at the start of this build thread from Britmodeller. Hope it's of some use to you. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235015609-eagle-squadron-spitfire/ Cheers Dennis -

Revell Hurricane Mk I (1970 mold)
Spitfire replied to sharkcoach's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
That green plastic stirred some memories from a while ago, the kit is very accurate in outline for a Mk.I it just need some TLC and some resin. Cheers Dennis -
Happy new year to all, have a great 2023. Cheers Dennis

Well I just had to, having battled through the PCM Fabric wing version I wanted something a bit easier, and this fits the bill. Cheers Dennis
