Are you a LSM member? Then show us your work!
Wingco57 replied to JeroenPeters's topic in General Discussion
Why is it that people think they are boring others with their work. Stop thinking like that. Everyone has something to contribute and learn. That's what forums (fora, forii) like LSM are about. Nice collection Jack, really like the Bronco. Cees -
And the last one. Unbelievable that nose section was build by one craftsman in 12 months.

Thanks to Tony Cotton for taking these recent pics at the MBCC Cosford. That nose section looks magnificent.

Indeed, I wonder when you start using lithoplate to represent the skinning. -
DO 335 M 14 HK MODEL
Wingco57 replied to red baron's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Hi Red, What a great model. And welcome to LSM. Cheers Cees -
It actually is, the designer was known for his laziness and put some wings on his gemüse-shed.

Pity that the stand was so full with boxes and models that we didn't had the room to do some modelling. But motivation has soared again and I have been working on the Manchester since monday. Planning on the cockpit details which will have to be scratch built and yesterday I have been drilling the holes for the axles in the tyres and undercarriage struts. This will make painting easier. Will post pics as soon as visible progress has emerged. Now that the Lancaster is expected in March 2017-ish there is no rush.

I like the very nicely worn paint at the root. Great model. -
Pierre Clostermann's Tempest
Wingco57 replied to Uncarina's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
It shows Tom, what a fantastic model. -
Was that a smartphone in my pocket or was I just happy to see Fransisco? Yes it was great fun and we spoke to a lot of people. Interest in the B17 and Lancaster is high. The Junkers 52 came as a surprise to a lot of the visitors and there were also questions about the Phantom.
-
Indeed, I really like the two types of models of the same aircraft next to each other.
-
Sorry but I don't get a harde plasser from either of these.

Wow indeed, this Tempest really looks great. Having built the PCM kit it would be nice to do this as a comparison. Great review Geronimo. Cees

Trumpeter 1/32 F-14D Super Tomcat,
Wingco57 replied to chameleon 2009's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Hi Chamelion (obviously not your correct name) Welcome to LSM and what an entrance. What fantastic modelling and scratchbuilding too. What other types will be respresented on the flightdeck? Cheers Cees -
Robert Kirby is one, he wrote the book on the subject. I have met him once, nice chap, and he also put the old story to bed that triple tail Manchesters had smaller span tailplanes than Lancs. Only the first twenty production machines, after that they all had the 33 foot span similar to the Lanc, and the triple fins were changed for the Lancaster ones. If I had known before it would have saved me a lot of grief cutting down the tailplanes and then restoring them again Pencilling in the lines is nearly finished (no boring pics) and then it's time to start scribing them. Hope to get some done before Telford. As I mentioned before I will be working on the Machester during Telford.

Airfix Hawker Typhoon Mk.1b early (Car Door)
Wingco57 replied to James H's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Nice start Jimbo, the cardoor Tiffy has a lot of character, even when compared to the bubbletop.
