  1. Thanks for the update Kage!
  2. Looking real great, James!! Wow! How much time do you have to model per day to get to this result?
  3. Looks good, Jase! Maybe an idea to buy the resin Hph-kit of the rail? http://www.hphmodels.cz/index.php/en/shop-2/produkty-hph-models/modely-v-meritku-1-32/catapult-arado-ar-196-in-scale-1-32-detail
  4. Wow, great!!
  5. Hah, great!! I'll be pre-ordering one!!
  6. Looking good, Jase. As for the markings, what's the matter with them? Was the original a Mk.IXe or a Mk. XVI? One other heads-up for when you tackle another Mk.IX/XVI Spit: the Rotol propeller blades that were used for these Marks were actually made of wood with narrow metal plates in the leading edge. The blades could get weathered (especially on the backsides) showing lighter hue but not chipped metal. (www.spitfiresite.com) (Photobucket of Duggy) The Spitfire Mk.V used similar blades when fitted with a Rotol propeller: And if you see these, they're DeHavilland blades used on the early marks, up to Mk.V if I'm correct: (www.spitfiresite.com) Looking forward to see more of your models! Cheers, Erik
  7. That is some pretty good work!! I especcially like your robots/androids and their metallic finishes. Good work! I don't know if you're a member of IPMS UK? They have their National Convention (Scale Modelworld) on 8 & 9 November in Telford. Jeroen P, Cees, Huub, James, Martin(?) and I will be there in any case and I'm pretty sure some others from the forums too! http://smwshow.com/ Cheers, Erik.
  8. Ah, well, inaccurate and simplified or not... Looks attractive, Brad! good work!
  9. Great progress, Paulo! I have the kit in 1/48th with the Aires cockpit and wheel bays too. As Mike says; get the exhaust too, if possible, looks delicious! And if you're on a buying spree...... Take a look here: http://www.zactomodels.com/html/MiG-23/MiG-23_Combo.htm I will buy the 1/48 intakes from Ciro and use the Eduard splitter plates. I'll follow your progress with much interest!!
  10. Hmmmmmmm! I have bought the Pacific Coast Tempest, but I think I will also be buying your model after all!!....
  11. Hi Paulo, great model & good photos! I like the weathering you did on the airframe! Superb! I hope to see more of your Finished & Works in Progress on LSM!
  12. Wow, José! Great looking model! I hope to see more models (and Works in Progress!) here on LSM!!
  13. On the A2Zee homepage we can find this: "Announcement for A2Zee Models 11th November 2014 A2Zee Models as of today is entering a restructuring process and as of now no products are available through the website. All current stock of Alley Cat, Rotor Craft and Rhino Models, has been sold to Hannants, this includes all the Montex masks that we stock. Unfortunately we will not be attending SMW at Telford on the 8th and 9th of November. All outstanding orders are being worked through, so if you do have an item outstanding do not panic it will be sorted out very soon. Exact future plans are not known at this stage but I will keep you informed as the changes happen. Thank you all for your support over the last 9 years, and hope to be speaking too many of you again soon. Regards Alistair" Anyone know what's the matter? Alistair was just releasing new products, so this comes as a surprise! http://www.a2zeemodels.co.uk/
  14. Ey Rick, how's the alclad holding up? *Curious!*
  15. Nice review, Jeroen! Definetely a sensible upgrade of the basic cockpit! Now, which company will bring us better shaped transparencies? Fisher already has the windshield and wrote on LSP he has masters for them, so here's hoping...
  16. Hi guys, Does any of you have got a replacement Tiffie-canopy from Airfix? I've read mixed experiences -not about Airfix, their service i outstanding and fast- but about the "droop" in the canopies. I've read somewhere that the keep the clear parts a short while longer in the moulds before ejecting them so the parts can cool down somewhat more and don't display the droop. On other forums I read that the droop is still present, only the cracking has been sorted? Anyone know what it'sreally like? I knowthere are resin alternatives around, but prefer injection moulded transparencies if at all possible as resin still isn't as crystal clear... Cheers, Erik.
  17. Beautifully built model of a remarkable aircraft!
  18. Wow! Thanks for the review! Looks like a book I can use very well even if I don't do dioramas other than a (simple) basework for my aircraft. The techniques he describes are universally usable, though!
  19. Ooh, looking good, John! I suppose we can admire it "in the flesh" at Scale ModelWorld 2014, Telford?
  20. Hahaha! A lozenge-base! Great idea, Danny! I love it!!!
