  1. Very nice build John. Outstanding (as usual for you, LOL). And the John B building machine rolls on. Jerry
  2. Looking for the Hasegawa 1/48 F-15C. Either kit #PT-49 07249 or P-10 07010. I have this posted in the sell/buy section and no one has made me delete it yet.. Do you by chance have one in what you are going liquidate? Cheers, Jerry
  3. Right in there with you John. Been single the last 32 years.
  4. Exactly why I don't I don't use the paint cup.
  5. Thanks Mike. I think it is one of Trumpeter's better kits. Went together very well with very little putty used. Only placed I had to use a lot of putty was underneath where the front of the wing meets the fuselage. Had a pretty good step there. Also had a bit of a problem getting the front windscreen to fit properly. I closed up the gun bays as that is where I had to put about 50 grams of weight to keep it from being a tail sitter. I enjoyed the build on this one. Cheers, Jerry
  6. Another one done. Trumpeter 1/32 ME-262A-2a. Used Eduard PE seatbelts, Barracuda resin wheels and Eagle Strike decals. Cheers, Jerry
  7. Just completed is the Revell 1/32 F-14A Tomcat of VF-111. Used Quickboost resin seats and Master Model AOA & Alpha probes, otherwise OOB. Actually started this one back at the first of last year. Got disgruntled with it so threw it up on the SOD. Got it out last week to see if I could get it finished. It was suppose to be done as VF-111 "Miss Molly" using Zotz Decals but they performed horribly. So did a repaint and used the kit decals which worked okay but had trouble with some silvering that I couldn't get cleared up. Que cera cera. It is what it is. Think I'll try to tackle the Tamiya A6M2b Zero next. Cheers, Jerry
  8. Moving along there nicely Kevin. I would have left the speed brake doors open like I did on the Hasegawa kit, but the way Kinetic molded the door glue slots it made the doors stick straight out instead of angling slightly downward like they are suppose to be so I closed them. Gives it a more sleek look. Hasegawa kit below. Hope the wife is doing okay after her knee surgery. Cheers, Jerry
  9. Nice start Kevin. Good luck. My Kinetic F-86. Cheers, Jerry
  10. Fresh off the modeling bench is the Revell 1/32 F-4G "Wild Weasel". Used Quickboost resin seats, Speed Hunter Graphics decals and Master Model pitot tube, otherwise OOB. This one was my 22nd Phantom. Cheers, Jerry
  11. Thanks Ron. I can't seem to get the Vallejo metals to cover well (brushed) on small items rather it be on bare plastic or with a primer. Air brushed they work fine on larger surfaces. The now, long gone, Model Master Metalizer's were great for brush painting of small items. Jerry
  12. I have this Vallejo Aluminum. It is for air bushing but to thin for brushing. Do they have another line of metal colors that are thicker? Can't seem to find it if they do.
  13. What brand of acrylic paints are best for brush painting, particularly metal colors? Cheers, Jerry
  14. All I have to say is that those guys have HUGE pelotas!! Cheers, Jerry
  15. MERRY CHRISTMAS and all of that HAPPY HO HO HO stuff from the Texas Panhandle. !!! Cheers, Jerry
  16. Is Mike West of Lone Star Models still in business? I can't seem to find his website. Jerry
  17. You get yourself into a storm cellar or closet in the middle of the house. It is the ones that come in the middle of the night that you can't see but only hear that scare the squat out of you. The one in Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky was a middle of the nighter. Horrible!!! Prayers for all of those affected. Cheers, Jerry
  18. My -3. I have the new tooled -4 yet to do. Cheers, Jerry
  19. Did Reno back in 1990. Been a long while. Have fun Smitty Cheers, Jerry
  20. Awesome build Rod. Beautiful. Congrats on the award at the Nationals. Well deserved. Cheers, Jerry
  21. I hear you Mark. I am in the same boat. I would like the 4-B but not at $300.00. Jerry
