Thanks Mike. I think it is one of Trumpeter's better kits. Went together very well with very little putty used. Only placed I had to use a lot of putty was underneath where the front of the wing meets the fuselage. Had a pretty good step there. Also had a bit of a problem getting the front windscreen to fit properly. I closed up the gun bays as that is where I had to put about 50 grams of weight to keep it from being a tail sitter. I enjoyed the build on this one. Cheers, Jerry

Just completed is the Revell 1/32 F-14A Tomcat of VF-111. Used Quickboost resin seats and Master Model AOA & Alpha probes, otherwise OOB. Actually started this one back at the first of last year. Got disgruntled with it so threw it up on the SOD. Got it out last week to see if I could get it finished. It was suppose to be done as VF-111 "Miss Molly" using Zotz Decals but they performed horribly. So did a repaint and used the kit decals which worked okay but had trouble with some silvering that I couldn't get cleared up. Que cera cera. It is what it is. Think I'll try to tackle the Tamiya A6M2b Zero next. Cheers, Jerry

Moving along there nicely Kevin. I would have left the speed brake doors open like I did on the Hasegawa kit, but the way Kinetic molded the door glue slots it made the doors stick straight out instead of angling slightly downward like they are suppose to be so I closed them. Gives it a more sleek look. Hasegawa kit below. Hope the wife is doing okay after her knee surgery. Cheers, Jerry

Thanks Ron. I can't seem to get the Vallejo metals to cover well (brushed) on small items rather it be on bare plastic or with a primer. Air brushed they work fine on larger surfaces. The now, long gone, Model Master Metalizer's were great for brush painting of small items. Jerry

I have this Vallejo Aluminum. It is for air bushing but to thin for brushing. Do they have another line of metal colors that are thicker? Can't seem to find it if they do.

What brand of acrylic paints are best for brush painting, particularly metal colors? Cheers, Jerry

You get yourself into a storm cellar or closet in the middle of the house. It is the ones that come in the middle of the night that you can't see but only hear that scare the squat out of you. The one in Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky was a middle of the nighter. Horrible!!! Prayers for all of those affected. Cheers, Jerry
