  1. Thank both of you! It‘s always the same: it‘s only finished when you are completely satisfied with the result.
  2. Nice work on the detachable wheels and tracks! Makes painting much more easy! To answer your question: I would choose the second subject which is on the box top. Looks even more interesting with the parts of a tree on it.
  3. The deeper you search the more you find to add or correct. That’s the modeling-virus Gary. Seems we are all infected by it. Never saw the Wurfgranaten-Set with real metal parts. I only have a set for the Jagdgruppe 50 109s from AIMS. It even includes a template for correct assembly of the Ofenrohre to the wings. With the pilot it’s the same like with your Panzerkommandant: nobody will notice ! The figure seems to have crisp detail and looks really nice with the Schirmmütze!
  4. Thanks Gus. As you can see above I had to correct a little more. Should have looked at the pictures with more care…
  5. The triangles had to be reworked a little bit more since I made a mistake: The triangle is a complete one. I cut of the edge near the fuselage which is wrong: This is the original plane and this was my mistake! To correct it I had to prime the black portions with white (yellow will never cover the black!) and then I did the touch-ups and painted the missing corner: Now it’s ok and I can go on with the top side.
  6. Awesome scratchbuilding. This will be an absolute stunner in the end!
  7. Thank you Hubert ! Doing my best to finish it soon… Thank you Peter! Used a lot of Tape! And still 4 more triangles to do… Thanks Anthony!
  8. Great progress Ian! You are the Lancaster-Master! I can remember all the ejector pin marks on the parts. Luckily I only had to remove only a few in the bomb bay thanks to the Dambuster version… Curious to see your new Flight Engineers seat!
  9. Wow that’s awesome work! Didn‘t know that HK made such big mistakes on their B-17! Great corrections you did!
  10. +1: have it also in my stash with some extra goodies. Will follow your build like Rob! And: really nice looking engines and great start! The kit details are awesome!
  11. Good that you found a solution for the wheels Gary! Great idea for the diorama! I hope that you choose a yellow scheme (but not plain). 192 track links? You really need strong nerves for this job! The 50-70 kits are only armor? Curious to see a photo of this stash! Hope that your overcame your cold! Looking forward to seeing the next update!
  12. Dankeschön Gary! Thanks for your feedback Rob! This will be a colorful bird in the end (I hope).
  13. On the Tamiya F-4 the ladder doesn’t cause any fit problems. I‘m really astouned that it doesn’t fit to the Revell model. The Revell ladder is a little bit smaller but not 2-3 mm. I would also try to reduce the width and enlarge the ladder support and make the support smaller so that it fits to the fuselage. I‘m curious Frank how she will look like with both ladders attached!
  14. Last evening I finished the yellow triangles with black edges on the lower side of the wings. First I drew the inner line for the black stripe with a fine pencil and a flexible ruler: Then I masked the yellow triangle with 1 mm stripes of Tamiya-tape and then filled it up with tape and in some places with Maskol. I also added a mask where the Israeli cocarde will be placed because the black stripe would possibly show through the white decal: This was then sprayed with Tamiya flat black as were the small main gear doors: Finally I removed the masks and the result looks like this: Some black has blown through the masking here. Can easily be corrected. There are only very few touchups to be done. All in all I am pleased with the result since the masking was complicated due to the complex geometry in some places especially around the pylons. After having done the touchups I can move to the upper fuselage to start the camo-scheme.
  15. Awesome build and stunning camo scheme! I‘ve this in my stash too and it’s really a high quality kit.
  16. Stunning build and great camo! Love it!
  17. Great that you start this build Peter. I don’t have it in my stash but I had an intensive look at it. The parts breakdown is typical Tamiya and I think it will be a pleasing build with lots of fun. I also love Tamiya kits due to their quality and clever engineering. Never was disappointed when building one (except the F-4 with the ABDR-panels I had to remove). Will follow this in the first row and please reserve a place for me next to Gary.
  18. Great start and nice little bird! The parts are so tiny! Which livery will you make?
  19. What can I say Rob? I‘m speechless! This is simply stunning and on the close-up outside-pics it looks like the real thing! Can’t be done better! Gorgeous!
  20. Wow Gary! Interesting new project and nice progress. The tub looks really beautiful. Can you describe the old fashioned way of painting? Not an easy job with all the wheels attached… You must have a big stash! Really nice crew-figures! Which one will you use? Did you already decide about the color-scheme? I would prefer the last one. Very unusual! Will follow this in the first row!
  21. Thanks for your feedback Wolf! This is special masking tape for fine work out of the DIY store. Not that expensive but I can fully understand your argument. Good method! Thank you Peter! You’re right Gus, I love these AK Real Colors! Thanks Gary! The IDF uses colors out of the FS-range. This is a yellow color with a slight orange tint. On the pictures it looks much more orange than in better (no IPhone and not artificial) light.
