  1. That’s awesome work Frank. I didn’t think that such an amount of rework and scratchbuilding would be necessary on such a kit! The spindle for the horizontal tailplane adjustment looks spot on! How did you create the zigzag part? The dihedral looks great as do the cables to the rudder. Great update! Curious to see the next! BTW: what about your Catalina?
  2. Great progress and figure painting Gary! Are the oak-leaves really that visible in 1/16 scale? But I would ask myself if anyone looking at that beautiful model would realize that he‘s wearing a Knight’s Cross with oak leaves which doesn’t correspond to the time when the tank was in operation. I would leave it as it is! If you really don’t like it I would grind it away carefully.
  3. Sounds great! Hope you will like it like I do.
  4. Great start on the 109 pit Gary. Parts pinging of the tweezers is a topic which we all have to face. I also found many other things on the floor while searching (spider-legs, etc) but not the part I searched…
  5. I also work with the AK Real Colors and I am totally pleased with them like you! On the weekend I will start with the painting of the undersides. I have a set with the needed camouflage colors from AK Real Colors.
  6. This is world class scratchbuilding! I‘m deeply impressed! Lovely work Rich!
  7. Looking really great Gus and copy Gary regarding the yellow. Are these AK Colors and what experiences did you make? Now it’s going to take eyecatching shape! Can‘t wait to see the next update.
  8. Lovely painted pilot Mike! I especially like the moustache he has. Can‘t wait to see the finished bird in its display!
  9. Really like how the figure and the camo on the tank turned out Gary. The Brown over Panzergrau looks really convincing! Great painting of the face of the Panzerkommandant!
  10. I also received my replacement windshield from Italeri today. Was very well packed: I had to pay 10€ for that single part !!! I also ordered the complete replacement glas sprue from Revell for which I payed 7,45 €. I told Italeri that they are usurers and shall refund me the money. Will never order parts again there…
  11. Thank you Peter. When I look at the pictures there’s no big difference between black and RAF Night regarding intensity . Nice try with no effect at all… Thanks Gary. If it wouldn’t be so time-consuming… Thanks Frank! I hope that I can start with the real colors soon (latest at the weekend) Tomorrow I will apply the Decals, Hubert!
  12. This seems to be a build with some more challenges Gary! But even if you sometimes go one step forward and two steps back the most important thing is that you find solutions to the problems. And that is what you did (although fiddle farting). Great work so far. And like Peter said: keep em coming! Cheers Kai
  13. Finished the preshading last night. Didn‘t use black but RAF Night from AK Real Color for it. Is more a dark grey with a tendency to blue and not so intense: Hope the black spots will lead to a more worn look of the tanks which are bare aluminum. This is how the gear doors came out: And finally the jet itself: Next step is to sand this also very carefully with 12000 Grid sanding cloth and then I will start with the lower side.
  14. Awesome looking front office Kevin! This Quinta-stuff looks really great. I also have some Quinta and RedFox in my stash and can’t wait to use them!
  15. Hard to see the difference between the 2 colors. Can only be imagined in the last foto of the 190 wings. Nice detailing of the Panzerkommandant Gary! Really a mess that the binoculars are missing! Waiting in the first row for the next update.
  16. Awesome work Peter. And well planned steps how to get everything fit and always in keeping in mind to eliminate every risk of having a tailsitter in the end. Your fight with the top spine panel reminds me of my fight with the Mirage intakes: Lots of hours and effort spent. But all the work payed off and this area looks perfect now. And high-quality pictures btw.
  17. Stunning Mossie Peter with beautiful detailing! Love it!
  18. Thank you Rob! Just started today with carefully sanding the primer with 12.000 grid cloth to have an even surface for the color.
  19. Thank you Peter. Now the real fun of this special build begins! I haven’t counted the hours when I did „rework“ on the kit…
  20. This helps for sure Gary! Again a great tutorial!
  21. Misunderstanding Gary: Do you have a foto of the original tank with this camouflage?
  22. Wow, that’s what I call a fast build! Looks really great so far Carl! And it is really big!
