FINALLY after waiting for 42 years my dream garage is DONE and the girls are IN . Took 5 months from start to finish construction wise, and now after sitting outside for 30 years my coupe is warm and comfy..... no more worries about winter snow loads on cheap car covers, and I can now clean and detail to my hearts content... feels good, now to move all my 'stuff' in....

And , not only that, but who is the guy who will be sitting on it???

The guy on the right looks like he was modeled after Peter Townsend......

Carl, that would be a huge conversion, basically a different air frame, and everything from the top of the cabin to the top of the mast would have to be scratch built, although it looks similar to a 206, it is a different beast all together.... it's just the 206 needs a little love............

Hey Mark, I have this kit and it is kind of a garbage kit, takes a huge amount of work to make it look like anything at all, the nose is grossly concave rather than convex, windshield is wrong, as it the center support is far too wide, the skid gear support is not correct, far too thick, and the skid supports are more prototype or somewhat rare as they are fared over aerodynamically, which require rework or replacement to make anything reminiscent of the normal operational aircraft we see regularly .... it's 'ok', but in today's world with the fabulous kits being put out by nearly everyone, it is time... and I really HATE being so critical, but this is really now more of a collector's item in my thoughts.... at least that is where mine is for now.... one can hope and dream.... it sure would be great to have an accurate 206, imagine the possibilities........ just my humble opinion......

This is cool, BUT we STILL NEED a new tool, Bell 206, NO MATTER what scale, one of the most prolific helicopters ever built and the icon of Bell helicopters light machines....... with the opportunity to build many, many options, civil or military, Police, fire, ambulances, general duty machines...... wonder why we don't have just one?

Thank you for your long dedicated service, Your Majesty, as mentioned, a VERY great loss to the world,.................. I well remember being on a Guard of Honor as she stopped only two feet in front of me and smiled at me...... a very gracious Lady.................. Condolences

I get judging is tough, ( I did it a few times at Corvette shows ) and it is beyond easy to piss folks off, BUT with that said, the 'not enough story' ?? WTF... an airplane sitting all by itself in a field has a 'story'.... and for the record, the 110 did have a 'story', I could here those guys talking about the last or next op.... imagination should play a part... JMHO outstanding work Gary, and congrats on the wins....

Thanks guys for your kind comments... This is a conversion or is in the process, from a Kenworth W 900 series to what has been called an Alaskan Hauler, in my case I am taking some 'artistic license' and building it as a heavy haul unit. Alaskan Hauler Kenworths were akin to 'Canadian Kenworths' and were built here in B.C. They were all steel, with no fiberglass hoods, mostly used for logging and heavy haul. Used heavily here in B.C. and the Yukon, the photo here is my inspiration of sorts. These trucks had no frills, heavy springs, or rubber block rear suspensions, crummy seats, but were work horses of the highest caliber. Used to see them all over, but sadly most are gone..... I just love old heavy iron..... guess that's why my back kills me and my knees are shot eh? LOL Thanks again for the kind words fellas.... and thank you Martin for posting... -

SPECTACULAR !!!! I love it, awesome weathering... -
Ernie, I LOVE what you did with the seat belts, such a refreshing change from the perfectly crossed ( airline passenger style ) lap belts that EVERYONE does, I have seen a lot of operational aircraft and have never seen lap belts always so neatly crossed on the seats, your rendition is much, much more realistic... they look spot on !

Same here, Harv....

Oh that could very well be , but it seems there is a conversation out there, that operational machines did not have the crow bar installed at all, I'm sure I have read that on other sites, and it always kind of opened up a curiosity of the subject for me.... I would agree, that red may not have been the operational color, I would think possibly silver if it was installed for war time ops..... happy to be proven wrong... or right..;-)

Just one more, from the same mark of Spitfire.... not trying to be an 'expert', just opening a possible discussion on a very curious topic...seems there is no hard and fast rule when it comes to the 'crow bar'................thoughts? Yes, this is post war, but....
