  1. Looking good, the half portion, specially the headphones. Maybe a little bit too much lip gloss and spread to wide, seriously, does he receive a flat coat to reduce the shine? Cheers Rob
  2. It's the only malt based whisky based cocktail I prepare and yes, Lagavulin is the go to dram for it, as in 'Smoke' . I tried different Islays, but Lagavulin is the best, not too medicinal but lots of peat and the richness of 16 years of time to get there. I think about hairspray, if the primer is adhering well enough, sigh, I miss my trusty Tamiya stuff . Cheers Rob
  3. Just try braided thread either waxed or treated with Tamiya extra thin. It looks the part. Cheers Rob
  4. I toast to that with a 'Smoke of Scotland', Some Lagavulin with a whiff of elderflower and Cynar accompanied with some dry Martini, one of the rare possible single malt cocktails, definitely better than Mr. Leveller Cheers (and I mean it) Rob
  5. My toenails are crimping, I'm a cocktail addict. Mix drinks of the twenties and thirties of the last century are my passion. Before I mix Coke with Scotch, I will die drinking levelling thinner and black primer forming tar like lumps in my inner organs Cheers or not Rob
  6. Yesterday I primed the major components of the RSO and it took a lot of time, because there were lots of parts to prepare. I used AK's rust primer thinned with Mr. Leveling thinner (for the first time) and it worked great, at least with this primer. I wanted to use black Vallejo primer for the engine and the mix turned tar like and I had to remove parts of my airbrush for cleaning, which I never saw before . I wanted no more experiments and took a sip from my last can of Tamiya primer (not available to me anymore, sigh, loved that stuff). Next step is decision time, do I use hairspray (for the RSO not for me) for weathering and the final word has to be spoken about the camo, but I tend to Panzergrau. Cheers Rob
  7. Your Jagdpanther looks great, love the Zim and the camo scheme. Did he ate the Sherman? It looks like there are only some bogey wheels left. Cheers Rob
  8. No Ernie, I was born in West Berlin in 65, yeah, quite old I am . Tempelhof airport was in the American sector of old West Berlin. Cheers Rob
  9. I like the Ho better, bring it on, I know you can do it. Cheers Rob
  10. The first ones looked good, but these are way better. Cheers Rob
  11. Sentimental journey for me, I lived very near the Tempelhof Airfield the last years before I left Berlin. Now it's a recreational area in the middle of the city I even did inner city cross country skiing there) , but when I was a kid there were these Pan Am flights to where ever it sounded like freedom. Cheers Rob
  12. What about these guys from Bravo 6? Cheers Rob
  13. I like my olives spherically, and deep diving in my self prepared Martinis Cheers Rob

These Bonitos aren't tasting bad, I'm with Vandy here. La Isla Bonita is another name for the Island of La Palma which I see every morning from my place if the sight is clear. Lots of Madonnas there, but not the mentioned one, phew
  15. Luckily not, this one has a good taste . Cheers Rob
  16. Nice, I like the shots with the not anymore sharp plants in the background, nice bokeh. If you want to get the Mig a little lighter, you should try spot metering. Cheers Rob
  17. Hmmmh, spicy, love it. Cheers Rob
  18. Wow, I love your P-40. Painting and weathering look great. I never heard about Mauve kits, but it seems you let nearly nothing unchanged. Cheers Rob
  19. Nice camo job, the pattern looks great. Do you plan to blend the colors with a filter, or should the look be newish and stark in contrast? From that angle of view it looks like you could store the Sherman on the backside of the big cat.
  20. The PE fits to your Tiger, it's Heavy Metal as it should and it rocks. Cheers Rob
  21. Your Fokker looks great, very clean built and the painting looks nice. Can't wait to see you finish her. What type of color do you use for the brass petrol tank? It has very fine grain and that's what I like in metallics. Cheers Rob
  22. Thanks Mike. Today I masked the windows with self cutted masks and added loots of tiny parts to get ready for priming and painting. Cheers Rob
  23. Nice and lively display, but with logical fails. The enormous wake indicates a boat at full speed and that wouldn't be the case in that scenario. Nitpicking? Maybe, but it ruins the otherwise great scene, at least to me. Cheers Rob
  24. After inspecting the pics closely it seems that the front windows have a rubber (or kind of putty) sealing which often seemed to be overpainted with the body color. The side windows of the cabins seem to be a combination of metal around the panes and rubber on the doorframe. Cheers Rob
