  1. Thanx Gus, from my Scotland trip, some years ago I know that you have great MTB possibilities, not to speak About the destilleries on the way. Isle of Skye must be a paradise to ride. Weather wise it is a clear yes and no. Normally you are right, but this year seems to be different, It's to cold here lots of wind and hanging clouds in the mountains. Cheers Rob
  2. She's coming together, great work Jeroen aka 'Bender' Cheers Rob
  3. Thank you Gentlemen. @Cees: Good that we have so many AM choices in recent times. Cheers Rob
  4. What a nice start here at LSM and with the Mossie. The work you have done detailing the cockpit is superb. Everything Looks right and busy and I like to read about the little walkarounds and how to's of my fellow modellers in a WIP. Cheers Rob
  5. Some bikers here, great. I sold my motorcycle in Berlin when I left the City. It was a KTM-950 SM and I loved it, raw power and nearly no weight and a sound like a Harley Davidson on Speed. Now living on an Island full of steep hills and great nature I own these two fellows. Yeah, they are pure bench time stealers, but I do lots of sports for contrast and mountainbiking is one of them. The one with the Motor is brand new and has to be ridden in the next days. There are so many brutally steep uphills, that I decieded for going with extra power, just to have more choices and range. The other one is trusted and dusty and will be used in future too, it's just not the same thing for the ego do have it done with motor support . Cheers Rob
  6. Hi Dave, you built a beauty with some spills on it, great. At first sight, the D1 looks plain and simple, but with time you notice more and more Details, you nicely put in scene. I absolutely has to get me one of these technically and designwise very advanced planes. Cheers Rob
  7. Hi Harv, interesting project, but a HO-229 as long range bomber is very 'what if', but hey, why not. The projected capacity was a max payload of 1000 kg, with the extra fuel needed, they woul have to throw peanuts at Pearl Harbour. But 'what if' it was peace and the German pilots just wanted to have a Mai Tai on Hawaii . You could add a fuel nozzle for in air refueling made by a ME-323 Gigant. Cheers Rob
  8. Yes Cees, why? Is the Eduard one looking so bad? Yahu has two, one for the B-0 and one for the B-1 Version. Eduard's seem to represent the B-0 version and by the time I bought it, it was the only one available. The kit has also a non-colored PE dashboard, beside a well detailed plastic one for the razor eyed painters. Cheers Rob
  9. Thanx, just watched my pictures closely. To own a macro lens dosen't mean you have to use it . Thanks god, reality is not that cruel. Cheers Rob
  10. How fitting for that Behemoth. I can't get the brain-movie out of my head, driving that frog through the Berlin rush hour, looking for a place to park. Don't kiss your frog, who cares About princes annyway . Cheers Rob
  11. Just some smallish updates right now. I did some work on the cockpit and that turned out more time consuming than anticipated, due to the large amount of PE involved. The plastic parts where primed and painted with AK's RLM 66 which is a tad to dark. There is a tonal difference between the AK colour and the grey tone of the prepainted PE from Eduard, but that's ok to me, because it adds some contrast to these otherwise dull german workplaces. The assembley of the visor parts, a combination of tiny PE and cutted film was a hard test to patience, hand-tweezer-coordination and the eyes. The instrument Panel looks fine, but there have to be some handles added later. The whole cockpit will get a coat of my trusted Future / Tamiya flat base mix, because of the differences in the shinyness of the surfaces and then the bezels will recieve a drop of pure Future to simulate the glass cover. The Eduard PE-set is so called self adhesive and for larger flat Panels like the IP it works. On parts which are bended or very small, the adherance is not strong enough, so you has to add superglue. In all this future is not worth the extra money for me. Glued with CA, you can be sure that there will be no rattling sound in your cockpit after finishing the kit . Cheers Rob
  12. Too bad, that my TA-152 is already finished . With my usual bulding 'speed' and many other projects started or forming in my mind, I think I let this party pass. On the other hand, there are two Revell F8's in my shelf, with a lot of resin, PE and metal Goodies, one will be almost out of the box, the other will be opened up for maintenance with all the resin stuff (engine, guns, pit) Beside the Komet, it would be the third german bird in a row, I have to go into Deep Meditation about the words 'open end', before I decide . Cheers Rob
  13. Insane, you will need a lot of metal reinforcement. Cheers Rob
  14. A beautifully ugly beast you chose as a subject here , Rich. Love your scratching abilities and the way you find solutions constructionwise. Nice pics Martin, this beast is built for everything except commuting in big cities Cheers Rob
  15. Great work on the workplaces, Danny. Are the PE'ed cones the GT ones? The PE is looking good, but the outside seems not to well detailed. Cheers Rob
  16. Great review you made here and presented pretty good. The historical background is very welcomed. Cheers Rob
  17. He he , de nada, Señor, I was just joking. Cheers Rob
  18. But you have been here for quite some time, but forgot about it Cheers Rob
  19. Nice scratching of the radar pod. Always a great moment, when everything is prepared for the painting stage. I will follow closely, because the TBM had always been on my mind, but not in my shelf , maybe that's about to Change. Cheers Rob
  20. No progress due to summer laziness , the weather is just to good to close the door of the mancave. I have to get my new mountainbike (not to easy on my Island) and planned a surf trip. Maybe on the Weekend there will be some work done. Cheers Rob
  21. Hehe, my one got only treated wit a hot tweezer and some Pigments , but it is build like it was hit the way you mentioned.
  22. Thanks Barry, I'm sure you will tackle the TA, having seen your quality builds and I will follow for sure. Beeing a German and beeing connected in different ways to german history, I'm a bit sensitive about using swastikas and other in Germany forbidden signs. It's not about that they are forbidden, but there is a lot of present problems connected to Neo Nazis and other facist groups around my old hometown of Berlin, so it's more a personal Statement. Cheers Rob
  23. Yeah nice, Peter. I like the colourful pattern as a contrast to the all-grey Harrier. There is no error free build out there, why should yours be the first . Cheers Rob
  24. Thank you Martin, the worst about the kit was not the difficulties in the built, but the different expectations I had before starting . Cheers Rob
