Great looking model ! Superb light/subtle weathering too. Nice, very nice. -
That’s just epic !!! Superbly detailed; that engine is outrageous - great job Sir.

I agree with Jeroen - great to see actual plastic .... it kinda makes it all real now. HKM should be applauded for their dedication to accuracy and “bang for buck” - I know it’ll be pricey but I reckon the mountain of internal detail will go a long way to to salve the inevitable wound in the wallet. As always Jim, a solid, informative and enjoyable read.. thank you. Grant.

Ah sorry - it looks like I forgot to include the web address (doh!!) https://spaceflightnow.com/shuttle/sts135/130629opening/tour.html It’s about 2/3’s down the list

Hi Rick, i found this ... There's an image showing a wooden model of the "original" shuttle concept - aside from the obvious main wings on this model, it's not too dissimilar to your model Grant. (PS: I would have copied the picture into here but I haven't caught up with the Photobucket changes)

Ah Danny, i just LOVE the Corsair ... Somehow it looks purposeful! Grant

Two words ....... "Bloody Hell!! that is just BRILLIANT work!" OK, a little more than two words but justified Can't wait for more. -
Sorry I'm so late to the party! I love what you've done Tom - to take on a largely PE kit is admirable let alone one at 1/32 scale and with this level of detail. Superb work! Grant

Great stuff guys - sorry not to be there but 2017 will roll around all too soon.

I totally agree about a new Beaufighter ... I've been hoping for one for ages. With the recent proliferation of 2 engined fighters and bombers in 1/32 it seem logical for this to follow soon'ish - it also offers a number of variants which gives the manufacturer more than one bite at the cherry. Wow, there are some wonderful diverse skills on show here .. I thoroughly enjoyed reading through the entire process and eagerly await the next instalment Grant.

Grant replied to ThomasProbert's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
She's a stunner Tom ... you've managed a very sharp and crisp finish which is quite refreshing; don't get me wrong, I love the weathered, used look too. Sweet pictures too! Ah Pascal, what a superb model and what a superb modeller ! I'm a huge racing fan so this thread piqued my interest immediately. I've always wondered about those ZP paints and what you've shown us is how nice they cover the subject matter (I need to investigate some for the various McLaren's in my stash ) Can you tell me what process you use to polish up white metal - I've a 16th Zero (which I MUST get on with!!) that contains an awful lot of white metal parts. I Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve. Grant -
Sweet!!

At last!! I'm so chuffed to see that someone has produced a brilliant 1/32 kit of this historically important aircraft - albeit at a price. Hopefully this may lead the more mainstream manufacturers into considering a release of something similar. Great review Jim, fantastic looking model, once again, from HpH.

Grant replied to JeroenPeters's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
STUNNING!! I want it !! -
Thanks for this Jim - really enjoyed reading it. Personally, I'm not keen on the rubber tyres either - they're so hard to "age" and stand out like the proverbial sore thumb. Definitely a fine kit to consider though.
-
That's just extraordinary Jim - beautifully manufactured and presented AND interlocking sprues! What a way to prevent transit damage - brilliant. I may be converted !! I'd never have thought of 1/72 for a project in the recent past so reviews like yours just go to show how useful new product write ups are. Cosmic!!

Eduard 1:32 Focke-Wulf Fw 190F-8 cockpit and gun bay (for Revell kit)
Grant replied to James H's topic in Aircraft Reviews
Sweet! I'm still staggered by the quality of resin up-grades these days ... Man, we're lucky that our time in this hobby is now and not 30 years ago (if that makes sense...). Those guns look wonderful - just look at those complex shapes and "negative" spaces. Delicious.- 16 replies
