  1. That's very sweet Johann, despite the clean ETC , very nice indeed.
  2. I could have done if for you Harv - a bit of airbrush reamer and you'd have been skipping out of the house in no time!
  3. Fabulous looking Dora Johann! And little Brunhilda peeking through in the corner too - she's obviously a fan of your work!
  4. Stunning, absolutely stunning. That's what I think of when I think war-time, hard working aircraft. No concerns over appearance, cleaning etc. Get em armed up and ready to fly first and foremost. These are mad skills on display here.
  5. This Great War GB has obviously got me thinking I needed more research and general knowledge sources: These arrived yesterday and today ... they may not be definitive but they'll certainly help me understand the difference between an Albatros D.III and a D.V or D.Vc even: The Terry Treadwell book is very interesting indeed, more in depth with details of the various German & Austro-Hungarian aircraft by listing the dimensions, armament, engine type and capacity plus a chapter dedicated to the story of the maker and the relationships between them (i.e. one building for another etc) - it enough for my needs anyway. Can't wait!!
  6. I'm always happy to follow your builds Johan, I'm fascinated by your processes - like the Alclad part of it etc, etc Can't wait to see more !
  7. I thought I'd let those of you that didn't see his post on Facebook but our own Harv was admitted to hospital yesterday to undergo "a number" of stent operations. I'm sure we all want to wish him a rapid and successful recovery. So, get well Harv, we miss your mug around here already.
  8. Bloody he'll!! The kit had to delivered to you on a trailer??!! This is excellent news .. I love the idea of seeing all the wood lacquer techniques etc. Good 'ol Alex, the mojo reviver.
  9. Ah! That's what it is!! Thanks Cees, I've been puzzled over it everytime I see the innards of the Beau. Clever use of the straw Cees ... I do love what you're doing with this - so clean, so neat ... so accurate.
  10. I'm not at all au fait with the Beaufighter's innards and I'm really trying to understand the drinking straw's purpose.
  11. Thanks for that Rizzo, I have to say I really fancy one of their Napoleonic Cannons and Limber! One my favourite periods of history.
  12. I can only imagine what you and your family are going through, my thoughts and very best wishes for Izabella's recovery go to you and all your family
  13. Nice review Peter. Enjoyed reading that very much.
  14. GOOD GRIEF !!!! I might have missed it but whose kit was this? Irrespective, there may have been some iffy parts but your replacements have raised it to a whole new level. It's amazing, I love it. If the Has kit comes anywhere near to this I'll be a very happy boy.
  15. That was fascinating ... How nice to see this gentleman's reaction to the sight of his forced landing and that he could keep a copy of the footage he knew existed but had never seen. Brave, humble and a gentleman. Fabulous film, thanks for sharing.
  16. I echo Dave's thoughts and also remain, jaw dropped open, at the sheer quality and complexity of the manufacturer - quite superb. Nice review James.
  17. Nope, no idea who they are ....
  18. I've checked my wholesalers' and none of them seem to be importing them into the UK - I think it's a fabulous subject ! it might be ugly but it's gloriously unusual. At least they haven't gone down the obvious route for a tank (Tiger, Sherman etc) in this scale. Perth Military Modelling seem to have them as a sponsor: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/takom.html And Takom's site is here: http://www.takom-world.com/sub.aspx?id=11 (they've tried to make it look like an iPhone's message page (why !!??) Anyway, here's a little more verbage from them on the Renault From Perth's site, it looks as though they are about to launch a 1:35th scale Heavy Russian tank as well.
  19. I've always fancied this with the Arado - watched too many black and white movies such as Sink the Bismark and Battle of the River Plate which go the interest going I suppose. Nice combination.
  20. Aha! I can do that!! I was think of using cardboard instead of paper towel and see what happens. If that's a no go then I'll go for the scrap wood plan.
  21. Well that's on my list but only when it gets released on Blu-Ray / DVD. I get a kick out the computer graphic capabilities nowadays (he said, sounding like an old man). Of them all, so far, The Incredibles is my favourite by far.
  22. Very nice Lee, like Jeroen I'm a long time member of LSP and it slipped past me as well. Good job sir.
  23. Nurse! Nurse! NURSE, Harv's outta bed again!! Good going Harv, hang in there buddy .. It'll get there in the end.
