  1. Another Self-designed Vistaprint Mug came today. This time featuring my all-time favorite tank....the Renault Ft...A "cute" tank, that is until its 37 mm or Hotchkiss 1914 started throwing metal in your direction. Well, I'm happy with these mugs, they replaced some that I lost in my last move. Like I said before, the quality looks good and I got them fast.
  2. Great work, Ron! I was looking at that AFV detail kit myself.... I see you got the last One! Anyway, they also got the Ammo rack for the StuG...but I don't think that would be too hard to scratch build. I'm glad that your doing this build.... I'm looking forward to building mine....It's an inspiration thing. Presently, I'm Hung up on a 1/35 Brummbar right now ...got to do the cammo then I'm done. Will be watching your build.
  3. Some things for my recently purchased Tamiya He126 A-2..... From Eduard some masks (#EX182). In 1/48. And; From Quinta Studios, An interior kit for the He126 (QD 48106) I never tried anything from Quinta before...looks interesting.
  4. Good idea on the track pin, Ron. I also have the big Das Werk stug. This will work on both kits. I was debating putting on the suspension last when I build these kits....worried about it being damaged from handling. Pre-painting the back end of the tank also a smart idea.
  5. Something different.... An aircraft, not a big tank. From Tamiya; it's their 1/48 Heinkel He162 A-2 "Salamander" (61097). Using up my Tower Hobbies "loyalty rewards" points I spent just $16.00 For the kit. A while back I had a dispute with Tower Hobbies regarding an order that they canceled without any notification. An angry email from me resulted in 2000 points given to me. a value of about $50.00. I've been using them up since then....plus a $10.00 "birthday" reward. Anyway, it looks like a good kit. Released in 2006. An interesting subject; I've been wanting to build a 126...mainly the big Revell kit but I can't find that one anywhere.. one.
  6. Thanks Ron, I was comparing these to Takom's Panzer I A & B kits tracks They do connect with pins. Not their panzer 3.
  7. Got a Gecko! That is,....A Gecko Models large-scale kit of a small tank. It's their; Pz.Kpfw II Ausf F (Sd Kfz 121) N. Africa & Southern Russia (16GMOOO9) in 1/16 scale. 'Never made a Gecko Models kit before....although some of their 1/35 kits look interesting.... their little Daimler Scout for instance. Anyway, this kit being in 1/16 has been on my list for some time. Since I saw Andy's video on it. The working tracks look good, they assemble with track pins similar to Takom's panzer 1 kits. There's some photo-etch and clear parts as well.
  8. O.K., admittedly a bit silly and not a model.....but I made up a little custom mug for myself using Vista print. Using artwork found on the internet and Google translate. Pictured is a Panzer 38 (t) in action and the phrase "Happiness is a warm tank" ....in German. I got this in just two days from Vistaprint and the quality Looks pretty good.
  9. I remember building a Monogram Voodoo years ago...at the time I thought It was a pretty good kit.. I still think it's a pretty cool aircraft. Thanks
  10. I've got this kit....will definitely be watching this! Great idea to make the return rollers workable.
  11. Right....so they had to use it up! Just as I thought. Incidentally, before We moved from our house built in 1976, I used some of the original paint from a can used to paint my bedroom to cover a scratch on the wall ...the paint Was fine... Thirty+ years after it was last opened.
  12. I'd love to build these type of subjects...Rob, you're more than capable of Doing so....but gloss finishes on autos beyond my capabilities. Again, build WIP please!
  13. I think Jay Leno has one.and a video Yes, here's a video.....
  14. Do you have to display the engine? I've got a few.: T34s, SU 100, Stug, panzer III, in 1/16. ! The Stug and the Panzer III don't come with engines but the tanks were powered by V12 engines. In 1/35...Comet, T 55, panther, Jagdtiger, a couple of panzer IVs, Nashorn, Hummel, Also, a P-38, a Mosquito ....lots of possibilities!
  15. Got it from Andy's Hobby Headquarters..... At $ 119.00 USD I think it's a Good value for a 1/16 kit. https://andyshhq.com/products/border-models-1-35-bf003-focke-wulf-190a-6
  16. Also, perhaps, to use up WWII surplus Lend-lease paint.... They probably had gobs of it. No?
  17. 'Got a Stug!.....A large, 1/16 Stug by Das Werk ! Yes, it's their StuG III Ausf. G early w/Winterketten in 1/16 (DW 16003). Well, my stash closet is about full now. Maybe a Gecko 1/16 panzer II and an early St. Chamond by Takom in the future but that's all for now. You know, not buying many more kits......will be difficult. 😗
  18. Same here, I had no idea things were that serious! I hope he recovers soon!
