Would an amphibious wheeled vehicle fit in with this GB? Not as dramatic as a Space-going battleship perhaps but......I have a couple; a Gama Goat and a Schwimmwagen (too small). I've always had a desire to build one of the landsswasserschlepper things.....yes! There's the ticket, I'll see about one of those!

Well, the Tamiya British Cruiser Tank A34 Comet (35380) I ordered from Hobby Easy came today along with something unexpected. Hobby Easy included a 1/35 resin figure of a young, uniformed, Queen Elizabeth II. Nice of them, I think. The kit looks good. As you would expect from Tamiya. It has link & length tracks, a one piece plastic barrel, two nicely molded figures and some realistic cast metal surfaces for the hull and turret. I have some decals for a Cuban version from STAR DECALS that I might use for this kit. I'll probably save the resin figure of the Queen for the Tamiya Austin "Tilly" kit I have.... ..not sure if I can do her justice though.

Sorry about the political post....it really wasn't seriously meant.

Oh well, hell..for the seagull...That's the way I felt, nothing I could do.. Jeeez! Just glad I survived!

I ran into a ramblin' racoon at about 90 mph in my '91 Sentra SER..scared the hell out of me.....came to a skidding stop about 100 yards later! Knocked a lot of air pressure out of the tire.. Later found a lot of Racoon hair between the tire and the rim....grisly! Not sure what happened to old rocky... A terrible lesson for a young radiologic technologist in a hurry to get home!

Fisher F9F Twogar done
belugawhaleman replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Oh no! Never! You're Very welcome... Enjoy your builds! -
That looks like a seriously cool kit!.....I'm going to look into that one. I hope you do a build thread on that one...and give your impressions on fit, build, etc. Very interesting, I'd like to build a helo .....'built a Soviet naval helicopter years ago...an ESCI kit. Yes, THAT long ago! The new Takom and Meng Apache kits are very tempting.....but that weird "Flying Banana" has a lot of appeal... A banana peal....ha, ha, well, never mind...bad pun, my bad.

Looking great John! Very nice scheme you've chosen for your project. -
I'm still waiting for that big 1/18 Brewster Buffalo that Hobby boss was rumored to be working on.....

This should be titled..."what i haven't got". My Tamiya A34 Comet kit Has been stuck at the Chicago ISC facility since Thanksgiving... Customs apparently. I've never had this problem with Hobbyeasy, BNA, or hobbylinc Japan before.....Why now? I'm told by USPS customer service that they can hold the package from 2 weeks to 45 days. I'm thinking of ordering the kit from Tower Hobbies if it's available from them before then. Mad as a wet hen at this.....well, disappointed Anyway. Please note: the package made it to Chicago from Hong Kong in just 3 days After that, it's been sitting in Chicago...... Sitting, static, no movement... Nada.

Is this the one? https://www.buchonscalemodels.com/products/1-24-supermarine-spitfire-mk-ix-resin-conversion-kit

Another small Tamiya kit today; This time their German Sd. Kfz. 2 Kettenkraftrad (mid production) #35377. This kit was released in 2021 and is a completely new tooled kit. I'm surprised at the level of detail of this kit.....it has 256 parts! Along with a trailer, it has three figures, some photo-etched screens, and features link & length tracks. Each track link has a separate track pad to be added.....they're tiny! I'm also surprised that the kit includes a complete engine and opening engine cover. There are decals for two marking options; a three color camouflage and a overall dark yellow version. The decal sheet also has the instruments. A nice little kit..

That's some cool stuff Martin.......I hope you show pics of this project when done!

Glad to hear you're feeling a little better. You may be right about the bed...My foot pain is worse in the morning... Or when sitting on the couch for a long time. No problems when standing, walking, or sitting upright at the bench. I, at first thought the pain was related to my diabetes, diabetic neuropathy. However, my diabetes has been well controlled for over a year now. I now realize that my pain is relating to the position I'm in ....worse when lying down and the like.

Two kits this week and a third on the way. My Tamiya A34 Comet I ordered from Hobbyeasy has landed in Chicago and should be here soon. The other two kits are also from Tamiya. First, is their Kubelwagen type 82 (35213) It looks like a nice little kit. I also got their Schwimmwagen Type166 (35224) Both these kits were inexpensive little kits and should be fun, quick building kits... I might build one of them over the weekend.

I've gone through this myself...having had two back surgeries. I'm currently experiencing numbness and pain in both feet....I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about my current trouble...but I'm hoping you find relief soon. Good luck and God bless Paul.

Cool Harv, what are you building? ....or, planning to.?

I never thought about using ammonia before, I'll give that a try and I'll start saving my Tamiya bottles!

Seriously, Gary, self deprecation and self parody have always been a feature of what I call my "sense of humor".... But then, ...oh Well..never mind. Sigh.
