  1. Great to see one of these built. I made the Tamiya full option one About .....well, long ago. So I won't build one of Andy's. Anyway, I haven't run It in years....probably need new battery packs. It's very dusty...but, I'm tempted To get it running. Again, it's nice to see your build. Well done so far. I hope the trouble with your eyes comes out well. Sounds Ghastly.... But I'm sure it will work itself well....
  2. Something in 1/16...or perhaps 1/24. The Takom Ontos, that big Airfix Spitfire, or, in 1/35, the CSM Ehrhardt. Andy's hobby headquarters has some future big-scale kits hinted at.......somehow, I think those might be a Lee and Grant.
  3. Nice progress Peter!
  4. A couple of items today; First, from Copper State Models, their Romfell Panzerwagen (CSM 35002) In 1/35. I had been thinking of getting this for a awhile..... Looks like a great kit of a unique WW I Austro-Hungarian vehicle. I have a few CSM kits now and they are very nice ...highly recommended. Also, I got a set of tracks for my recently purchased Panther kit. From Tamiya, their German Panther Ausf.D Separate Track Link Set (12665). These look pretty good.
  5. Nice! Great work on what appears to be a beautiful kit..Tamiya... Their kits.. though recently described as " boring"...why? Don't know, are wonderful. You've done a great job... Love the F 14, expensive for a 1/48 kit...but you Proved it as "worth it" well done!
  6. Shame...a big 300z would be cool...I've always been a fan of Nissan...Had Three.
  7. I built that big 240 years ago, and they also made a rally version....built that one too. It's a very cool kit, especially the rally version, with working suspension And great engine detail. Hope you do a build WIP!
  8. Hey, just looked at the marking options (3) for this kit....and you're right... All three options are for Panthers participating in the battle of Kursk. It's been a while since I did a tri-color German camouflage subject. Glad to see it will be of great historical significance!
  9. I must admit, ....I love the subject...I built a bunch of Japanese aircraft during my breaks when I was in college..... Mostly Otaki, (remember those?), Tamiya.. and I did build a Val..not sure who made it....but I do love good fit and engineering. Because of this, frankly, I'm kind of scared off by this kit. I value your opinion, and respect your building skills....Would you say this kit is worth it? I'm thinking of building a Japanese aircraft.....most likely A zero by Tamiya... Those are pricey... But then so is your VAL.....which would you recommend?
  10. Well Hubert, I kinda avoid overrepresented subjects.......but, despite being an armor modeler, I must say that this kit looks increasingly tempting to me....I like BIG! Will I give in?....Yes, probably! My decreasing eye sight and the frequency that I drop things makes large scale a positive boon!
  11. This one came out in 2015. Tamiya makes a set of click together, individual link tracks for this kit...in fact, I've already ordered a set from Sprue brothers. They also sell a metal barrel, and photo-etch set for this kit. The barrel is not really needed as the kits barrel is in one piece with a separate muzzle brake. It looks like a decent kit. The "rubber band" tracks actually look ok.....the side skirts on the tank would hide the top of the track anyway, so you wouldn't see the lack of "sag". I like the Newer Tamiya kits.....most have their link and length these days. https://spruebrothers.com/tam12665-1-35-tamiya-panther-ausf-d-separate-track-link-set-tam-kit/ https://www.scalemates.com/kits/tamiya-12665-panther-d-track-set--944301
  12. Some items this week..... Along with more Tamiya paint, extra thin quick, and airbrush cleaner.... I got some more items; Today I got another Tamiya kit..It's their Pz.Kpfw. Panther Ausf.D (Sd.Kfz.171) #35345. Also, from Syrenshipmodelcompany.com I got two sizes of scale rope in 1.37mm and 1.62mm thicknesses. This rope looks great....I've ordered some 2mm thickness as well...comes tomorrow. Also, I got three sets of camouflage masks from J's Work; one each to do a Hetzer, a St. Chamond, and a Char 1 bis.......never tried these before, and I've been itching to do that Tamiya Hetzer from my stash for a while now. Lastly, I got some miniature brass chain from A-Line #29216 40 links per inch. This stuff is impressive! The links are soo tiny.....cool. I have a couple of kits I plan to use this on.
  13. Saw this........a Tarhe lifting a CH 47 Chinook........weird!
  14. I recently got the same kit as an unexpected gift.....It looks like a very well-designed kit. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your build and building mine. Watching with interest.
  15. Nice work! That kit intrests me....I think it's now on my list.
  16. Working on this little Skoda Turtle........Hobby BossBoss 1/35.
  17. They're probably just promoting their licorice.... Well...I don't know. My Dad was a Pathologist....this, to him, would seem a miracle.
  18. Cool model/interesting subject, but way more than I'd care to spend on something that doesn't have a pair of stars on the box....stars in red and blue squares...... But then again.
  19. Nice work! I !ike your added detail.....the brake lines on the axles....very cool!
  20. I have the same 'brushes. Yes, I thought so.
  21. Not sure of those model #s but I think the handles for the Iwata Hi performance models will work. If you have a question contact Coast Airbrush ....they answered questions of mine. https://www.coastairbrush.com/ Or: https://www.iwata-airbrush.com/
  22. I saw Andy's YouTube video on this kit.....it looks impressive, but really it should be at that price!
