  1. Ernie Glad to see your back at the bench with the your Lukgraph GB entry. Woodwork and the IP looks good and don't worry about the map - who would ever really know - the effect is what counts and it does look the part so well.
  2. Phil WOW, the Bofors look fantastic and are going to be an eye catcher on the completed model. Completely agree that the larger he scale, the more detail are needed as so much can be seen. Stellar work.
  3. Kev Looking mighty nice and the in-flight display is going to look so cool.
  4. Scott Going to be pretty cool and everyone loves the DH Beaver. I remember years ago on LSP, Brian going all ot on the kit - loads of possibilities. Looking forward to following your build.
  5. Gaz Looking good and you'll e on a roll for sure.
  6. Much appreciated Mike I was lucky and was able to work around the decal issues and am heading for the finish line today 🤞
  7. Thanks Carls, very much appreciated. Just could have been how the decals were stored at the vendor for years - who knows - all is OK and should be finishing up the Spitfire today. Can't wait for the Kotare Spitfire to arrive and I also have the new Revell Hurricane on it's way. So far I've been on a RAF WWII role for the past few 32nd scale builds and have actually started the ZM 109 - never built a 109 in all these years.
  8. Oliver Your abilities seem to have no limits. The cabin and the wrecker truck look simply stellar.
  9. Thanks Phil, the Spit has put up a pretty good fight several times but I'm in the home stretch now and looking to finish er up this week. Very much appreciated the good luck wishes for my doctor appointments and procedure this coming week. Hoping it all goes well.
  10. Hi John Great choice and I can't believe I took out my 109 kit last night and started working on the engine as I'm waiting for the two additional clear coats to fully dry on the Spitfire. Going to be fun build our 109's side by side and no question you will have yours done way before mine.
  11. Chris It's always the unexpected that throws a big monkey wrench into the mix. Just glad you took your time and worked through what seemed like a toolchest of them. .
  12. My Hurricane has been shipped and on it's way. Should be here this coming week. Purchased from HobbyNut a LSM sponsor.
  13. Carl Some pretty neat work - makes for a great collection in the display cabinet.
  14. Rob Excellent decision to go slowly and build up the weathering layers slowly, leaving time in between each weathering session to judge how the effects settle in as they completely dry. less is always more. I'm right with you on the 'hit and miss' percentage with the new Eduard decals and think hard before using them and for the most part, shy away from them for the major markings so far. Enough can go wrong and adding in another variable is a bit too risky most of the times for me.
  15. Rob Your paint work and weathering is looking so good, blending all the previous steps together. Here is where all the intense detail and PE is paying off in big dividends. I've tested Eduards new decals a while back and for the most part, the results were good but, in a few instances, the actual decal lifted with the clear film. I'm still not sold on the system 100% but I'm going tinkering and trying.
  16. Kev Right with Carl, can't wait for the Big Event and the Seaview Diorama crossing the line.
  17. Gaz Nice work on the inflated rubber rafts - they do look mighty good.
  18. Carl Nice work on the scribing the panel lines ... looking good.
  19. John Terrific build and paint work - one awesome build. And yes, Hasegawa kits fit brilliantly.
