  1. Oliver Amazing, simply amazing work. How did you make the cables and connectors? Keep 'em comin Peter
  2. Jeff So sorry to hear about Rosie - I can feel your pain as Diane and I have had to put to sleep all our loved pets over the years - it hurts deeply and we are here for you my friend. Peter
  3. Harv Believe me. I really didn't want to switch but I just didn't have any options. My new system is specifically set up for photography and an iMac Pro was way out of the budget. Besides,. I type like crap no matter which system I'm using. Peter
  4. OMG, what a Pain!! I've been an iMac user for close to seven years and my Mac was a bit long in the tooth and getting very tired. Photography is a huge passion and over the years the new versions of Photoshop and Lightroom, have brought my Mac to his knees when doing specific processing of RAW files. I was hoping the BIG announcement that Apple was going to make at the end of October would include the new iMac but alas: nothing. I needed to upgrade and just couldn't hold off any longer. I use a Dell PC at work and decided to buy one with the features I needed. I also opted for a BenQ SW240 Photographic Monitor and getting everything to work has been a huge challenge. I'm not that comfortable setting up a PC (at work, the IT guy does everything) and my comfort zone has always been the Mac. Live and learn. I've managed to set up email, my browser and get the monitor working but a lot of adjustments need to be made to both. The monitor needs the latest drivers as well as the NVidia GTX 1060 card but I'm slowly getting there. Peter
  5. Ernie Good news for sure and glad to read you have a solid plan. I did almost the same when building my Tamiya Mossie a few years back but laid the wing down on a paoer towel soaked with Tamiya Air Brush Cleaner. I though the wing was a total disaster but after calming down for a few days, I decided to let the wing dry for a good week, then sanded and filled, repeated a good number of times but saved the Mossie. Note to myself back then: watch where I lay diwn parts! Peter

  17. Ernie Yikes! What happened? Remember I’m old so take it easy. Peter
  18. Kai Cammo looks great - smooth and even. Model Air has been my go to acrylic for years and no problems at all. I thin it only with Vallejo Thinner with no problems. I’ve never tried mixing Model Color and Model Air but always assumed MC was just a thicker version of the same paint. Looks like it’s not. My vote would be for a Hurricane for your next build. Keep ‘em Comin Peter
  19. David Welcome aboard. Looking forward to your Lancaster build and we are all here, ready to help when needed Peter

  21. A very said day , Penny Marshall has passed away, know to us forever as Laverne DeFazio from the hit TV show, Laverne and Shirley. A huge part of growing up when TV was looked forward to and king for entertainment. She brought us happiness, endless smiles and wonderful memories and a part our my generation's lives is now gone. . Rest in Peace. Peter
