Carl Yup, you have to be the Toddler of our group. The knee unfortunately will only get worse over the years but if you're on top of it and with modern medicine, should hopefully become a non-issue. Your heart attack and triple bypass at 48 had to be a scare for the entire family and a signal for a complete change of lifestyle and diet. Just so glad you are OK and doing well.

John Agreed, as once the fuselage is closed up, so little can be seen anyway.

Yup Scott you're the youngster around here and I would surely want to be 61 or even 65 again. Muscle atrophy is something we have to constantly work on. A few years back when I was going through chemo, I spent a lot of time in the hospital and not being allowed out of bed, leg muscle atrophy settled in very quickly.

Mike, so very much appreciated. Forging ahead these past few days when time allowed, I'm close to wrapping up the decal work and have been applying a lot of stencils using both the Furball and Tamiya offerings. They keep adding up like daily calories to those of us on a diet and I'm close to the 500 mark when adding in the missiles and drop tanks to the count. Hopefully I'll finish this portion of the build over the weekend.

Carl WOW, what a beauty; clean, crisp, nicely detailed - especially the antennas; a brilliant build.🏆

Rob WOW, awesome progress and the spending time enjoying your images, the detail and weathering is brilliant. No question a very delicate and skillful hand is needed to maintain your level of craftsmanship throughout the build. Looking mighty good. -
Scott Looking mighty good and a milestone when the Big Cat is up on her gear.

Oliver Looking mighty good.

John Nice choice for your next build. Revell's kits are an excellent value, while not Tamiya (a lot less in cost) they do build up looking mighty good. For me, most of Revell's kits suffer from poorly done instructions but it's uphill from there. Front office is looking mighty good and agree about the IP decal ... could have been a lot better. When I built my Revell 32nd Spit, I used the Quinta cockpit set and what an improvement but it's costly compared to the cost of the kit.

Thanks guys, so much for your thoughts and just being there. Diane is doing well, taking her pain medication and following the ER doctor's instructions, as I am there to help in every way. Incredibly, we have an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon on Monday and fingers crossed, we're hoping for the best. We're lucky that it is a fracture rather then a complete break but her shoulder is very bruised at best and just looking at it hurst. Fingers crossed by Monays she will be feeling a bit better, especially after a good report from the doctor. 🤞 Yup, getting older, our Golden years is proving a tough course to navigate, as most seniors spend a good deal of their week on doctor appointments and procedures. Care needs to be taken just walking as our steadiness and balance isn't what it once was.

What is on your bench right now ? Share a picture :)

Carl Nice progress on the bench cleanup and organization - amazing how much more room you will have to work in when done Just think how much easier it will be to find what you are looking for, camouflaged in the collection of modeling parts, tools and whose knows what. 😉 -
To all my Friends, Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. It's a wonderful feeling when your friends are there for support and a shoulder to lean on - yes, I told Diane about everyone sending their prayers and best wishes for a speedy recvovery. Last night was an eye-opening experience with seniors falling and hurting themselves as a good percentage of the patients in the ER, seemed to be seniors there for that exact reason. Care as always at Mather is first class and nothing was overlooked. We have our appointment set now with the orthopedic surgeon and hoping no surgery will be needed. You guys are the best!

Last night around 7:30 PM, my wife Diane fell in the bedroom and my guess was a broken arm. I called 911 and they immediately dispatched the EMT's and after evaluating Diane, it was off to the hospital, where X-rays and a Catscan confirmed she had a Humerus fracture and thank goodness no other injuries. Diane received the best possible care at Mather Hospital and was released at 1:30 AM. The drive home in the pouring rain and high winds was no fun as were having another nor'easter or close to it. This morning, I need to call the Orthopedic surgeon for an appointment as soon as possible for an exam and follow up. Thank goodness it wasn't any worse but there will be a long period of healing and recouperation.

Chris, very much appreciated. pretty good idea and of course I never thought of it. I use and magnifying lamp to help and keep deferring to the Tamiya templates which while not exactly the same as Furballs, as perfect, large and easy to read. One other issue is the panel lines on the Furball instructions don't match up to the kit, while Tamiya's of course are spot on the money.

Carl Incredible, and when you least expect it, good fortunes just shines through. The tires and wheels look fantastic. Thye oldest kit in my display case is a 1/32 Trumpeter F8F Bearcat with rubber tires. Being small in size as compared to your 1/12 F1 tires, they look to be in perfect condition. 🤞

Mark Looking so good - decal work is pefect.

Scott, looking mighty good and completely agree.

Gus & Rob I'm in the same boat and have gone through more Tamiya masking tape on the Tomcat then almost any other build, especially with the late painting addons after decaling was done. Sure wish Tamiya would sell stock in their Kabuki Tape Div.
