  1. A book originally published in 1961 by Shirer who reported in Germany up to the outbreak and then covered Nurember. He apparently then had access to state files.and diaries………I read it probably 40 years ago…….so here goes again….
  2. Peter, wow….flawless as ever……great start and almost John’s speed of building. I’m similar to Rob, only ever built one Spit in my life, Airfix 1/24. Very badly I may add was in my teens…….so it’s about time to remedy that……
  3. I think I’m happy with the priming? The wing roots were a PITA……. The gunbay covers are PE so just blue tacked in position…..
  4. Missed this one, stunning I’d need a telescope to work at that scale…….
  5. Rob, this looks absolutely beautiful, I’d skip the rigging and so you’re finished……..that’s if I ever got this far…
  6. Mark, I know your pain, all three of our cats are now hunting in the big sky. Unfortunately all three went the same way as your Min. We have now decided no more furry friends, the pain is just to much when they go…….thoughts are with you….
  7. Welcome aboard Ernie, dive and have some fun."….
  8. You will never cuss another Trumpeter kit now…….or perhaps you will…..
  9. Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has a C47, here is her history…… BBMF Dakota ZA947 was constructed as a C-47A by Douglas at Long Beach, California, USA, in 1942. It was delivered to the USAAF on 7th September 1942, 75 years ago this month. A little over a week later, on 16th September, it was transferred under the Lend-Lease agreement to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), re-designated as a Dakota III and allocated the RCAF serial number ‘661’. During the Second World War Dakota ‘661’ served entirely in Canada.
  10. 1.919 CAD……..small fry…….UK …. the cheapest here is 2.96 CAD……. Hubert , your prices are even more…..
  11. Congrats, looks absolutely amazing, can’t wait to crack mine open now. I’m of the same opinion, when I did the Ju 88 it’s was a delight to build…..
  12. Wow Peter this is gorgeous, not a genre I have ever tried, congrats….
  13. Kevin, looks absolutely amazing, the weathering I reckon is perfect…….congrats…..
  14. 90 for 1 and trailing by 463…….let’s get to lunch tomorrow and see, if we are three or four down then as Private Fraser used to say………..
  15. Stunning Peter as ever. Le Mans is happening as I type so a fitting build for a great car and race. I’ve have a few friends over there for the weekend…..
  16. Kai, stunning as ever. This is going to sing and dazzle when you reveal it……
  17. Alan, dio looking amazing. Hope the clouds disperse soon and you are up and running again……..
  18. Wow and wow Tom. This is stunning project and looking at the original vac forms you’re a magician, congrats…..
  19. Congratulations on a stunning project. The weathering is superb this is the best one I’ve seen at this scale, stunning…
  20. Thanks Gus and Harv, I think I’ll wait until the relative dies back a little before contemplating another Trumpeter large scale kit. Weather looking good for some booth action whilst listening to the 2nd Test Match……………Test match, a game that could take up to 5 days to complete and then end in a draw……..love it……
  21. Coming on a treat John, agree with Dennis about seeing one of these built. Surely they didn’t strip the cockpit just to sell an AM set. Probably bring disingenuous……looking forward to the next instalment….
  22. Absolutely stunning Mark, I need more time at the bench…..
  23. 1/16th Panzer II Ausf F anyone……..
