  1. I’d say the weathering is perfect there is a very fine line to overdone, that’s probably me…….
  2. Welcome to LSM, thank you for your kind words. By all means plagiarise all you want, no problem. If you add RC the deck joint will need to be sealed some how. The kit is amazing but the cockpit and radio mast were crying out for more detail. There is a lot more detail that could be added, there are a couple of books around for reference but never did get time to purchase them. Please post a work in progress as it would good to see another build build of the Elco. I still have the reference material so shoot a PM if you require anything….
  3. Not sure if you guys have this……..
  4. Welcome Snowbear to the best a most relaxed model forum on the inter web. I retired end of November last year so I’m with you in trying to come to terms with being on permanent holiday. I’ve been back a few years at the bench but shout if you want anything……..
  5. Nice outcome for, how should I say this flying………nope couldn’t find the words. Looks great by the way……😁
  6. Very nice Rob, BRM (British Racing Motors) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Racing_Motors was conceived and ran out of the town within 25 miles of where I live. It had drivers such as Graham Hill and Dan Gurney, always wanted to build some of those early “drive by the seat of your pants” cars………..
  7. Make a spreadsheet of the stash by scale or whatever, you will then have a true picture of the ……….add as appropriate…….…..I believe Scalemates have a built in Stash Manager……
  8. Plus a few cars from Tamiya and this……..cannot see any aircraft……
  9. New at Nurmenburg…….
  10. Did you just see that ENORMOUS squirrel…………..😁
  11. Welcome to LSM, unfortunately i haven’t built this, always wanted………
  12. Nice to see an engineers set of callipers rather than digital readout cheat set…….still surprised for the scale there is not the amount of detail supplied, probably tooling costs are prohibitive at this scale……..
  13. You must do a build log of this…l.
  14. Thanks Fran, that’s a lot of building. Hats off to ICM for combining all these elements, with careful research you could add a massive amount of extra vehicles etc……..food for thought……
  15. Welcome Dan to LSM, hopefully will see the build coming together.
  16. Hats off to Border in committing to a twin in this scale. I have both their Spitfire Vb and FW190 in the stash. That would make one hell of a diorama, He111 plus visiting Fw190 and captured / abandoned Spit Vb plus ancillary vehicles …..
  17. That brings back memories. My last RC was a Brian Taylor P51D 80’” if I remember, full retracts the lot. Never finished it but at one point had four in th hanger of various types. I still have the radio gear and that’s it…..
  18. If it is the case that’s disappointing….
  19. Thanks Fran…..
  20. Thanks Rob much appreciated, it will be interesting……
  21. Yes, I swear by it other people swear at it. I do all my camouflages with it, IMHO very good product……
  22. Never leave the blob overnight as you literally will have the thing from the black lagoon. I do like the stuff though……
  23. Thanks Ricardo, great review.
  24. Kriss, absolutely stunning almost missed this. I do like doing jets in 48th more manageable. ….
