  1. Thanks Gaz much appreciated, I need to learn how the rope would have been secured…….
  2. Rob, totally agree. Your last statement sums it up……..we can all drive and have done for years what we cannot do is drive like an F1 driver, it’s down to a persons own skill level…….
  3. You and Diane are an inspiration to us all, thank you and relieved that the results were good news…….
  4. Hmmmmmm you’re just saying that because you have nearly finished…….looking good…..
  5. Good start. First time I’ve seen a build of anything 1/16 scale. Surprised how little detail there is OOB, like the additions you’re making……
  6. Peter, you know when you have that gnawing in your brain that something just doesn’t fit right……..I have it with this rope……Looking at what I have remaining on the sprues, it’s not a lot………….going to have to think hard if I detail the liferaft………..there is a Mosquito in my ear that keeps saying to me BUILD ME………..also I have spray and fit all the subassemblies……
  7. Is there no limits to your talent……….impressive, looking forward to the finish…..
  8. Thanks Peter, it’s slow but sure, the rope just doesn’t work, I’ll have a look in the spares box……
  9. Some bench time has been dedicated to improving the mast. Luckily I found original elevations of the late mast. The first pic is the kit part and the other two as we stand today. Not sure if the flag rope looks good or not, jury still out. Any comment’s welcome………
  10. Great save, flawless finish as ever…
  11. Cool John, are you going to do the chipped aluminium / camo look ?
  12. Come on John, you’re giving us so called modellers and bad reputation, with you and Panzerwomble you guys wrap a build in 3 days when take us lot that time to open the box and read the instructions…………looking amazing as ever though…….
  13. Fantastic news on the biopsy, it’s a question you never want to ask someone, brilliant news. The 109 is looking mighty fine Peter. Your challenges with primer etc is the reason I do not like the spray and finishing stages of a build, something always goes wrong, does for me. I always seem to have to compromise at this stage. Hence the Corsair and Mustang sitting here awaiting top coating etc,,,,,,,
  14. I remember that, so wishing I could pull the plug, saying that I’ve only 3 more years to state pension……….
  15. Thanks Ernie, late reading this but now want one……..
  16. I was feeling good about my crude detailing, Peter this is just amazing, back to the needlepoint and quilt making for me……….
  17. Thanks for sharing, a little worrying that they dumped all the chemical weapons into the sea……….
  18. Rob, the figures certainly do make the of model “pop”. Also love the subtle weathering and slight rust on the catapult etc. This is epic…..
  19. Thanks Gaz, much appreciated. I’ll finish up all the sub assemblies and then I’ll have to wait awhile. Reason is this will not fit anywhere near the spray booth. I’ll wait for warmer weather, empty the garage of cars and then spray the hull and deck in there……..that’s the plan ………
  20. Stunning, great finish. I was at Telford when they unveiled this beauty. This is probably only the second I’ve seen complete. Congratulations, this needs to be entered into a competition…….
  21. Thanks Carl, the clean up on the parts is becoming tiresome but making progress. Why has the Vosper stalled?
  22. Thanks Peter, much appreciated. I’m now doing the mast assembly, not sure if to make collapsible or not………
  23. Very nice indeed, every single one of my Axis armour is camouflaged or DAK, I need to do some grey and try and emulate your weathering. Congrats….
  24. so glad this one came down off the SOD. Stunning detail Gaz, I’ll definitely pull the KGV down when the Elco is finished……
