  1. Very nice Gaz, halftracks require a different approach…..looks very snug in there…..
  2. Whew John, started on Thursday and laying paint down on Sunday………with me that’s 3-4 months of modelling……..looking mighty fine as ever…..
  3. Thanks Peter, German Grey as primer, I have an idea on the weathering on this one….
  4. Thanks Gaz, it’s been a fun build, you have to admire Dragon, the detail they added in this is amazing……
  5. Booth time, German Grey base coat, I have some ideas for this one…….the croc clip shows a size comparison…..
  6. Paul, you have the wrong order these are not made by Tamiya……..
  7. Looking mighty fine Ernie, I must take some pics of my F4F-3……..
  8. So many but so few left RIP.
  9. My wife is asthmatic so acrylic all the way. The only time i shoot enamels or Tamiya is mid summer with booth and windows fully open……
  10. Agreed, kits in larger scales IMHO become to toy-esq. I watched Andy’s HHQ reveal of the new Tiger, too big and even though he said it was a test shot, I was expecting more detail at this sort of scale. Not for me……….
  11. Hmmm, I said I had three kits to finish in the booth. Well I reckon I’m going to be short of modelling over the Christmas break prior to the start of the GB……Do I have a sneaky start or start something completely different……..ironically it’s the one time of the year I get unlimited benchtime………perhaps it’s time to start on the Tamiya Mossie. A staged build on that may prevent burnout ???.
  12. Interesting, I’ve never done a commercial truck, food for thought…….I’ll be following this one….
  13. Stunning paint work John.
  14. Looks good to me Peter, you’re right a challenging kit can be fun but to battle with a kit continually, the mojo goes south pretty quickly. Good luck with last conundrums…….
  15. With all different genres, this GB is going to be awesome, good buy Mark…..
  16. That sounds expensive or build ZM G-14……….
  17. Peter, looking stunning as ever. The Flammpanzerwagen had a gearbox and fuel tank to be positioned under the floor deep in the crew space of the half track. Hmmmm detail is good but only when you can see it and appreciate it….
  18. Also the wing to fuselage / cockpit framing can need a bear…..
  19. Thanks Rob much appreciated, this is so tiny I have to build most of it with my big magnifying light lense. Once built, pretty close, it’s off to the booth with the Flammpanzerwagen, Panzer III L and this.
  20. Thanks Martin, that’s one reason I love Dragon, they stack exquisite detail in. RFM are pretty close unfortunately Tamiya (AFV) have dropped the ball in my opinion. The only problem with Dragon are their new kit prices, one reason I build “previously owned” kits…..
  21. Thanks Gaz, for a tiny tank, Dragon went to town on the details..
  22. Thanks Peter, I’ll have some hatches open but it pretty much a black pit in there..
  23. Thanks Ron, much appreciated……
  24. Unfortunately my intolerant father used to say, you broke it, you fix it…….no father / son connection at all…..
