  1. It's a great kit, and you're doing it justice, my friend!
  2. Some minor progress - seat modifications. Rather than chop up kit pieces, I opted to cut the seat as a whole. Not sure yet if I'm gong to lower the seat further, but if I need to, here is my plan. My canopy masks finally arrived from Bulgaria. Worth every penny! Just the insides right now. Some minor trimming is required in just a couple of places.
  3. I'm no expert, but I don't agree. Here are the two side by side. Assuming that the pointed props are correct, the shank of the prop on the trailing edge is longer than that of the leading edge. That is also the case if the paddle blades are installed the same way.
  4. Hoping they find the cause and it's not too serious. Good luck, Harv!
  5. Nicely done, Dave. Almost makes me want to build a tank. Nah.
  6. You're a maniac, Martin! But in a good way...
  7. Another piece off the checklist...
  8. Still waiting on masks... In the mean time, cockpit mods are underway.
  9. Despite the excessive detail in Z-M kits, I like them very much. Looking forward to your progress, Carl!
  10. David, Progress has stalled for a few days. I'm awaiting masks for the canopies - it's delaying paint on the interior. There is no blanking plate supplied with Iconicair's conversion set. All resin for that goes on the bottom of the aircraft. As far as markings, right now I'm leaning toward Maltby's AJ-J. It was the last aircraft to attack the Mohne dam.
  11. Get your mind out of the gutter, Martin. there's not room for both of us!
  12. install the nose gear PRIOR to installing the engines and cementing the upper fuselage frame. Much easier access to attachment points if assembled out of order...
  13. I dunno, Ernie. I see another layer in your future.
  14. Somewhere, I've seen what looks like a patch to replace that upper turret fairing. Damned if I can find that picture now, though!
  15. Peter does amazing stuff, and his customer service is second to none!
  16. I fully understand the sequence thing, Harv. I installed the front wheel long before the instructions said to...
  17. Happy birthday, James!
  18. Go to your local cigar shop and see if they have a cigar tube of the right diameter. Be sure to bring that resin nose with you.
  19. Yes, I did, Martin! I would post a pic here, but I don't want to be accused of stealing a thread!
  20. I couldn't resist a quick mockup. Big is an understatement!
  21. Watching with interest, Martin. It brings back fond memories!
