I built the Miniart Valentine. The suspension system was a mess. I had to do it all at once, and while the glue was still soft, align the wheels and block them in place so that they could dry square.

You can paint and decal over foil. To decal, you must apply a layer of clear coat for the decal to adhere to. I use Future as it sprays easily and is self-levelling. Masking is fraught with perils, just as if you were masking over decals. Much care must be given to de-tacking your mask as well as lifting it off with the most care as foil will lift as easily as a prom dress when you don't want it to and will hold on like besieged infantry when you want to remove a panel.

I like group builds... not that my record in completing them is stellar. I'd prefer theater or period based group builds. I don't always want to be strapped into one particular genre.

I never really had a holy grail kit. When I was a kid, I wanted to build at least one of every panzer made. I have most of them in my stash. Only a few left on a very short list. But do I have time?
