  1. Good to see you have a few good books . . . . Think I have all of those and a few more because I have been following this girl for about 40-50 yrs . . . . I was even out on Lincoln High street campaigning with Stuart and others in the late 1970's early 80's to keep PA474 in Lincolnshire and I have the commemorative photos of her when she left Waddington with pilot Ken Snell; how she looked so different back then . . . (thats why she carrys the Lincoln City coat of Arms) thro campaigning
  2. That is of great interest as I had not previously known of such a document.
  3. What an ugly bird . . . . Seems that the improvements were justified but strangely never implemented . . .
  4. Good luck with your search Hubert, I'm sure something will come through David
  5. Mikester It states that the image is only 15KB ?? David
  6. You are onto a winner there boy !!
  7. No doubt they could scale UP their 48th range of airfield stuff ??
  8. Kent where do the aircrew figures come from please ??
  9. How does one post a photo for our 'front of house' profile so it can be seen when I post ?? I place a pic on my profile EDIT page thinking that this would appear but its not the case ?? Any pointers please David
  10. Any chance of seeing the finish on this conversion Kent with at least one photo please ??? Like you, I despair at the lack of large scale vehicles to enhance the large aircraft. David
  11. Can I bump this as a call to Kent as I would like details of his bomb trolleys ??
  12. I am suitably impressed with your results so far ! Was there any fit issues with any of the parts ?? Does the hairspray lift paint random to indicate chipping ?? Is there a colour call out for items such as the undercarriage or is that your own interpretation ?? As always, looking forward to see you build more . . . . Do you know which aircraft you are going to represent ? G-George perhaps ?? David
  13. Any updates on the plastic James ?? David
  14. I am in the process of building the IBG Bedford QL as the GS version, for use as aircrew transport . . . . I believe there is already a trolly Accumulator available in the larger scale and I have a plan for the working engine trestles, measured from actual units, these are my scratch 48th's 32nd scale to be built when time permits David
  15. Well I currently have a Panasonic Lumix camera which I find OK. I am not yet fully au fait with camera technology to know which type of camera and associated len would aid my photography ?? I do believe in getting outside, in good natural daylight to photograph the builds I manage and here is MY set up and a couple of photos . . . David
  16. Looking forward to seeing this develop further . . .
  17. Undoubtedly there will be a mask for the HK kit. I can only guess that this will be around £15 if not more I for one, cut a mask for my 48th Lancaster, canopy and turrets, and I can see that it would be even easier on a 32nd with the clearly defined lines. I even put in a canopy frame in the 48th which again I shall consider (photo to follow) for the 32nd. Personal choice I know but it a case of doing it slowly and checking regularly that it touches the cockpit frame as it should. David
  18. I'm new here and just checking around the forum . . . Superb work on the Lancaster Kent and I am intrigued with the foil covering. I shall have to look in to that process More over, where do the aircrew figures come from and what plans have you for the bomb trolley as I too would like to build some for my Lancaster. I am also trying to create a diorama for my Lancaster and these item are included . . . . My scratched engine trestle's and scratch Bedford OXD Thanks for sharing Kent David
  19. Only seat cushions in a Lancaster are those located in the turrets but they were pretty basis and gave the mid-upper and rear gunners a numb bum after sitting on them for several hours
  20. Or . . . turret glazing does look kinda 'frosted' on a cold Autumn morning does it not ?? . . . Therefore I suggest a touch of weathering to reflect a slight snow fall or a frost on the ground Issue resolved. I thank you. Lol David
  21. Thats not bad at all, an absolute credit to your skill and dedication. Congrats on building a tribute to those who gave everything, I salute you for your contribution. David
  22. I would be interested in some provenance of such Thanks David
  23. I am glad I read all the pages cos I can appreciate the amount of work that has gone into this so far . . . . Hopefully you will come back again with renewed vigour and complete but its the engines that may be the stalling point ???? David
  24. Hi there Just joined so I am looking thro the numerous topics . . . . I have researched a number of Lancasters (from a Squadron) and would very much like to have one done for the 32nd HK Lancaster :-)
