  1. I hear they love furniture.
  2. That's actually a very nice kit. As to Harv, late to the party but glad to hear things are amicable and looking forward to seeing you send more time at the bench.
  3. Martin, that was one of the wines that the agency I worked for carried. I had a 1999 one that we recently drank. Absolutely lovely.
  4. Someone's a naughty boy...
  5. I worked at a wine agency for a few years. At the Christmas party one year, the owner comes over and asks what we are drinking as one of the opened bottles of wine has gone off. We all are drinking the same wine so one of asks if this is the one. He takes a sniff and says yup it's bad, and gets us all new glasses. After trying the new glass we're standing around quietly when one of the drivers says what we're all thinking: " I prefer the bad one"
  6. Looks great. Are you going to leave it glossy or go for a semi-gloss finish?
  7. Like Peter said, a rarely seen variant so it'll be great to watch.
  8. Peter, the cockpit is looking great. At least you haven't made the mistake of forgetting to install the side panels. Did that on my build. Only found it much later after I was finished.
  9. Forgot one! I won this at a wine tasting. It was brought over personally by the winemaker.
  10. Here's the ones I have. The big one was the only bottle of wine we served at our wedding. If you like red wine and get the chance to try a bottle of Heitz cab (on the left), go for it. That was a great wine. Carl
  11. Looks like somebody is having fun. Any luck on a new couch? We finally ordered one this last weekend. Sue said Jimmy isn't allowed on it. I think that'll last about 5 minutes.
  12. Well, I just got an email from Squadron and they're saying a couple months which puts around April so maybe there's some substance to the rumours this time.
  13. Definitely has the look. I wonder if the lack of documentation with the AVG has to do with the theatre of war. CBI is so often overlooked, the carrier battles and island hooping campaigns definitely made more headlines.
  14. I sort of cheated and used styrene rod to replace some of the kit bits as I didn't want to clean up all the seam lines.
  15. So far I've built 2 Fly kits, the Ar234 and the Hurricane. The Hurricane was the more challenging with getting the MLG bay and the cockpit sorted. I've got another Hurricane in the stash to go. I must be a glutton for punishment. I just ordered another Special Hobby T-33.
  16. Nice start Peter. The Quinta set really ups the cockpit details. Like you, I have a bunch of the Barracuda resin bits but may have to look closer at the Quinta set.
  17. Lovely build Peter. Makes me want to find another Kingfisher kit and do that in the yellow and silver scheme.
  18. The pilot figures looks fantastic. Can't believe they're 1/48! Carl
  19. Comparing the two now, the kit one is definitely better. The worst part about dropping something is when you find it after you've given up and the the build is finished.
  20. Had a package of books from Wingleader arrive today. First three are on Spitfires. Next three are mixed subjects. I'm really liking these books.
  21. These ones? https://www.abovebelow.ca/product/301-canadair-sabre-mk-6-439-sqn-1958-/162?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=false&category_id=5 Just need to wait until he reopens on March 5.
  22. Like Harv said, hope your wife is ok.
