Good news. I found one of the Resin2Detail seats. Slowly trimming away all the supports. The detail is fantastic.

Thanks Kai! I've got the same book. I was lucky enough to get it when it first came out. They're not easy to find and is definitely an great reference. I've only removed the pin marks under the Upkeep mine as that area seems to be still visible.

So after actually reading the instructions instead of just looking at some pretty pictures, I started on fitting the front spotlight mount. It was fairly straightforward and needed a slight bit of sanding to drop into place. Next up, I started on removing all the ejector pin marks on the bomb bay roof. Fortunately I had a chisel that was the same width as the slots so that made it much easier and faster. Next up is slotting the cable run in the appropriate spots as indicated in the conversion instructions.

Actually Phil, I'm missing quite a bit. Literally. I have two of the Resin2Detail pilot's seats and can't find either one. So here's what I will be using on this build: - Iconicair conversion set - Barracuda cast resin wheels - Master brass MG barrels - DN canopy masks and custom masks for AJ-K - Kits world seatbelts. - Eduard PE rad screens I do have both Eduard Big Ed sets but I'm leaving those for my other Lancaster and I haven't decided if I'll use the Airscale PE instrument panel on this one.

P-39 Cobra II in progress

Another racer. That's awesome John. I was wondering about the fuselage extension. Is that a bit of AM or something you made? Carl -
Nice! All we have is a skinny tower in the middle of the city.

Thanks! This is only the second model I've used it on. The first was my Bronco Type XXIII U-boat. I had some paint lifting on that one so we'll see if that happens again. As for spraying, it goes on fairly well with decent coverage. I used a few drops of their catalyst but otherwise didn't thin it. I haven't tried brush painting it yet so can't say how well it does there.

First thing to do was read through the Tweak List on here and figure out how much I wanted to correct. So I started with filling in the extraneous dinghy hatch and landing lights. I've started painting the interior using Mission Models paint.

Well, since I can't do much on the B-24 until I get a replacement canopy I've decided to work on a different 4 engine heavy. Because that makes so much sense. Reference material for the build. The conversion kit. The box contents. Carl

Thanks Martin! I'll give them a try. Carl -
Glad to hear you're on the mend. Does that mean you'll be hosting a pig roast any time soon?

So, anyone got an email addresses for Hobbyboss customer service? It seems I've misplaced the canopy.... -

Thanks guys! Working on the clear bits. I masked them off using the Eduard mask set. First coat of green for the interior colour, then when that's dry I'll put on the white. -

Ok, it's been a few months but the Lib is back on the bench. Well, the turrets are anyways. First thing I did was gather all their parts together and touch up the paintwork. Then I started on doing several sub-assemblies for the turret bits. I did some of the detail painting as I went along. Here's where I am at the moment. The front turret is mostly assembled. Need to add the guns and feed belts then it's ready for insertion into the turret. The rear interior is in a similar start but as it has to go in in sections, looks less complete. No pics but I also stripped the clear finish off the turret as I found it just a bit soft. Here's to getting this beast finished. Carl -
What is on your bench right now ? Share a picture :)

You have no idea Rob. I think I opened about 4 or 5 kits before I had settled on the PzIII then looked at the turrets when I noticed the warp. -

I started on the Takom PzIII. Turns out the hull is slightly warped so the wheels don't sit flat. So.... I'm back to working on the B-24. -

That looks great Alan. I'm going to have to do some figures at some point myself. Carl -

Thanks Rob! I wasn't sure if I would actually finish it or I would've started a separate build thread on it. I still have a Sea Hurricane in the stash to do at some point. -

My vote is for Slim Pickens in a cowboy hat. Or has that been done to death? Carl -

Thanks Alan! I'm not sure on the weathering yet. Maybe a bit but nothing heavy if I do. Carl -

Gary, I've been there and done that. In fact my Revell Spitfire is missing the cockpit sidewall. I didn't notice that it wasn't in place until after it was completed and I cleared my bench off. As for sight, I just checked some pics of Sturmtigers and it's hard to tell if the sight is mounted or not. So to me your build doesn't look that out of place. Carl

Same here Rob. I saw they had it in stock so grabbed it.

Had a colleague try that when he bought his condo. He found himself in a bidding war with several other potential buyers. The selling agent said all the bids were within a couple thousand of each other so ask them all to bring their best offer forward. He won by $1 as everyone else was bidding by the thousand.
