  1. I'm living that bad dream at the moment. Need to get back to it. Carl
  2. Thanks Peter! It feels good to finally get this far in a build. Been a while. The next bit of masking was on the thorough side. Then I sprayed the final camo colour. The moment of truth. I'm happy with the results. One tiny bit of paint lift and that's it.
  3. Thanks Alan! I've started on the camo. First and overall coat of Dark Earth. Now a start on the Dark Green.
  4. Thanks Gus, that's good to know. Carl
  5. And the yellow is on now. Here's the underside. Now for the camo. Carl
  6. Red is on but forgot to take a pic. At least u remembered to after the blue. Yellow around the fuselage roundels is left along with a bit of touch up on the underwing ones.
  7. I got a bit more done on the Hurricane. It may not be pretty at the moment but hopefully it'll start to look better. Carl
  8. Picked up some paint yesterday while on my way to meet a friend for lunch. Tru Color is a nice paint if a bit on the smelly side. The Mr Color silver is called Previous silver so call me intrigued. The dry brush paints are an interesting idea as well. Going to have to see how those work. Carl
  9. I suspect Tamiya will release a static version without all the running gear and electronics in it for a lower price. The question is how much lower. Carl
  10. Nice start Kevin. I managed to pick this kit up with the Avionix cockpit set a couple months ago so I'll be following along. Carl
  11. Tonight was Jimmy's first bath. Apparently that was tiring too.
  12. Sometimes these rules are a bit silly. My favourite for these alternate markings are the ones on the McLaren F1 GTR. Instead of saying "Have a Davidoff" which is a cigarette brand, they said "Have a Day off". Some font and size. Carl
  13. Peter, the oldest kit on my shelves of doom is the Tamiya 1/12 MP4/6. I started it back in 1993 when I was in Taiwan for university.
  14. Nice progress on yet another cool looking racer. I have the exhausts if you still need them John. I had to check the subject that I was doing to see if I needed the shrouded or unshrouded exhausts. Let me know and I can pop them in the mail for you. Carl
  15. Martin, a new record?
  16. Too late. Maybe I can hide in it when it arrives. She'd never look inside.
  17. Nice kit there Rob. Glad to see you have the correct markings for it too. Carl
  18. I think it's big enough to get buried in. Carl
  19. Jimmy this morning showing his enthusiasm for his second, longer walk. I had to lift him up and turn him on his sides to get his harness on. Of course the moment the door opened he was up and ready to go. Carl
  20. Looks good there Gary. Decals over zimmerit is never easy. Yours look to have confirmed themselves nicely. As for the puppy, Jimmy usually is up around 630 for his first morning walk. Ugh. Carl
  21. Kaiser too, even if he's been a bit of a slow one on the potty training. Jimmy's been the same way so I can relate. Carl
  22. Gary, the camo looks good to me. The squiggles are nice and tight, very much in scale. Carl
  23. At the opposite end of Martin's big S-199, my 1/144 Night Falcon. Surprisingly, it has full intake trunking and even an engine. It should make for a quick build. Carl
  24. Those new screens look much better than the 3D ones you had. Definitely worth the swap out. And I like the bent/walked on look. The other additional details look great too. Carl
  25. Something we're trying to get our 8 year old son to understand. And failing badly at it.
