  1. Thanks everyone! Sue asked me last night what kind of cake I wanted. "Chocolate or vanilla?" I replied "Carrot". I then got a death stare from Sue. But I woke up this morning to the smell of carrot cake baking.
  2. Really nice job Peter. Can't wait to see it finished
  3. That's a fat squirrel!! As fat as my attention span is short.
  4. Not a Cutlass, but a twin engine Navy jet all the same.
  5. That's the one Jeff. I keep opening the box, look at the instructions and close it up again. They really crammed the detail into that kit.
  6. The squared off bustle makes the turret look like a cross between a Leopard 2 and a T-55 Enigma.
  7. Amazing work there Jeff. Just catching up on this thread. The closest I'll come to something like this is the Diamond T wrecker I have in the stash.
  8. Paul, that looks like a nice kit. Gecko is really putting out some nice kits.
  9. Cool! I was just looking at this kit at my LHS. It's big alright. The SEA scheme looks menacing.
  10. It seems my RLM66 squirrel has grown wings.
  11. Wow, I just find the build thread and you're done already. Great work and tips for doing the spinner spirals.
  12. Gecko Models has released some images of their forthcoming PACV hovercraft. I can't see to get the images to work but here's the link to The Modeling News: https://www.themodellingnews.com/2024/07/gecko-models-new-135-scale-us-navy.html#google_vignette Nice thing is it'll be plastic instead of resin.
  13. Scott, if I see one I'll let you know. They're not posting the kits online as they're in such a varied condition but if they know the kit is there, they'll price it out for them.
  14. I'm thinking Tiger 131 myself.
  15. Saw a Monogram B-58 today at the LHS in the clear out. Was tempted by it.
  16. I'll do my best.
  17. I forgot to say this is the just the first round of kits. Wheels and Wings have decided to empty the whole storage locker and are bringing everything in as space permits. The owner said they haven't gotten to the 1/200 ship kits yet but those are coming.
  18. It kept growing and i think would have been the whole section if I hadn't left the store. You didn't hear it from me!!!
  19. Thanks Martin but it's this Sunday so you're early!
  20. Gus, that's exactly my thoughts exactly. I have the Eduard Dottie Mae and P-40N kits in the stash and both have several decal options in them.
  21. Bagged kit sale at my LHS. Sort of. They have offsite storage which unfortunately suffered a flood. So they're trying to move the kits there into the store. Many have wet boxes and therefore unusable decals and instructions. Who reads instructions anyways? So they're blowing them out at amazing prices. In the above, there's - 3 1/32 Hasegawa P-47D kits - 1 Hasegawa 1/32 P-40E, - 1 Tamiya 1/32 A6M2 Zero - 2 Tamiya 1/35 Panther G late All for $100 CAD! I had to stop there or I'd have been in real trouble. @Martinnfb did even better with his pile (s) of kits. Now to give everything a good wash.
  22. Nice job on the paint Peter. Decals are possibly my least favourite part of the build for that hit or miss gamble when you apply them. Glad you were able to figure out a solution to your situation. If you ever need any Tamiya Spitfire kit decals, just ask. I have lots of them here as I think I've only done 1 with kit markings.
