  1. @Martinnfb Thanks for the pics my friend , FYI some are Six Day War ...some Yom Kippur .. I've gone 1967 as they were still mostly "light sand" ...IDF turned into "grey desert" in the early 1970s , although apart from where they mounted some of the accessories there's not a lot in it . They palmed the M51s off on the Lebanese Militias in the 1980s ..who did this with them , although god knows how old 1940's homogenous armour coped with RPG-7 Rounds ....probably why they were cast.
  2. That looks a really great trip . One for when I retire I reckon Did you ask them about making any new 1/32 aircraft, apparently there's a whole forum dedicated to "wishing new ones into existence", but like the fairies.... they remain illusive. 🤣
  3. Cat's .........so much nicer than people 😀
  4. Sh't , thats a heavy deal Scott . I'm sorry to hear that . I guess going to be a lot of feet up in the future , but at least they think they can fix the problems for you , rather than leave you in pain .
  5. Lovely cats ! Esp love Ginger Ninjas 😀 There appears to be three cats in that last pic?
  6. Just a thought , why not go down a Mad Max or other Sci fi route and use what you made , rather than get too hung up on the accuracy . It looked a fun build to me , and shame to park it ?
  7. Tamiya HQ eh , Im very jealous . Did you wear a Hasegawa T Shirt ?😝
  8. 3 decals ( god.... I love armour for that ) .....and a bunch of painting using Vallejo paints and a wet pallette. And draw the session to a close with my favourite matt varnish ...a recommend from Alexander Pedan who makes great trucks So a good evening , we are now ready to start the weathering , finish the tracks, build some figures and complete the model , before moving onto a small dio . A shot for the 1967 Six Day War .. Laterz PW
  9. so , mix by eye Light Sand ....its been faded a bit , mix of XF s and some wet brush chipping one heavy travelled areas . Not gone too mad , Israelis looked after their tanks as valuble kit .
  10. Ok ex factory these came in OD ...so OD it is . Followed by the best hairspray for chipping as recommend by Evan at Panzermeister36 ... Which os still a dark base , but authentic colour and only there for some light chipping later
  11. So now according to Martin Kovacs it all get black based Nope , as much as I like his work I find this , followed by light shade from up top and below with a darker coat ....a bit cliched in 2024 ..and results in all your models looking like Uncle Nightshifts ... So generic grey primer, good coverage and slightly textured, plus good for mixed media -some of the parts are copper sheet replacement ..sticks ot it all
  12. Back on the road .. today my stowage arrived , lotsa it . Appears to be a copy of the Legend Productions set , which is a little disappointing to find it's a knock off. Last stuff I bought was original work . Cleaned it all up and affixed with heavy viscosity superglue . Remembered to wear a mask when grinding it all clean
  13. This topic should be moved to LSM WIP 👍
  14. Wow , a seriously large scale model . Looks great , love the F4B lookalike . You know we expect regular updates , yeah ?
  15. make 5 use 3 ....CA other two to fingers etc . 🫠
  16. How cool, early locomotives are always so steam punk !
  17. And and here......... we are threading camels through needles ....pre rigging . So we have some 0.2mm copper wire , cut out of some cheap multi strand wire . This bent around the hook on the old airbrush needle and twisted together to make a loop (0.4mm) Drill 0.5mm holes in model and CA glue the loops into the model as anchor points for the rigging . A nice thickness gauge is useful for sorting it all out . I tried making loops from 0.3mm once, but it was too heavy for the scale . You can of course buy all these from Gaspatch and save the bother. I tend to make a bunch of loops in a batch when not making a model and then it becomes less effort to interrupt the build . Next is small tubes to represent the turnbuckles ( you can buy them as well) and it will all be rigged with 0.135mm Infini elastic rigging thread. But first - paint and then build the wings . The Eduard kit is good, thin single piece wings , good fit etc and cheap - shopping around & I bought it for £16 . So it it goes West I'm not crying into my WingNut pillow. Cheerz
  18. I'm good thanks - had a bit of a vacation from the forum on other projects during the summer but now getting stuck in the sandpit GB . & you ? Good summer , good travels ?
  19. Ouch - sorry to hear that Peter. On the bright side not thrombosis , but still ouch .
  20. You make it look soooo damn easy ....when it is soooo damn hard ! Beautiful looking model .
  21. Is that the M1324/5 purfume bottle carrier version ? Popular with 1 star generals and their campaign wives looks a good base for some kick ass weathering 😀
  22. Cheers works out about £55 which is not bad .
  23. Thats looking good , like and armoured hedgehog. Martin Kovac reckoned this was one of the best ever armour models to make , what's ya thoughts on that ? I fancied building one a couple of years ago and then forgot about them . The kit has got expensive since then sadly .
  24. Tonka tonka tonka It looks as dubious a kit base as that shaguar I did last month TBH .🫤 For me with braille scale if I build it in a day or so it's ok , if I spend hours fixing crap manufacturing from 30 years ago , I loose interest quick . It's looking good though despite it's Italergyness.
