  1. Sorry to hear of all your troubles Ernie, but glad things have mostly worked out. As others have said, what's happened to your Mom is a disgrace but so difficult to get accountability from these places, especially in these circumstances. Glad the business has come through. From some of the pictures you've posted you and your staff have some serious skills which it would be a crime to lose. My mother-in-law has been in a care home for 7 years which is almost unheard of over here, but thankfully it's a good home and she's a tough old bird. I swear if the bomb drops it's her and the cockroaches afterwards...
  2. Looks good to me. 👍
  3. Good to see you back Jeroen. Cool looking bike! The house doesn't look too bad either...
  4. Lovely weathering, looks suitably beaten up. Never got the Soviet idea of driving round with what's really two incendiaries strapped to the back of your tank!
  5. Cool, looking forward to this one. It's one of their few 1/16 tanks that actually interest me and it retails more reasonably as well. Looks like some reasonable cast texture on the turret.
  6. Guilty as charged! Credit where it's due, Finch managed to win the toss and that was the game. Kudos also to someone for turning Mitch Marsh into something that actually looks like an international batsman now.
  7. Cool pics. Love the idea that little screw holds the entire nose on!
  8. Wow, very impressive and excellent scratch work. 👍
  9. It's not without it's foibles as a kit but I'd definitely recommend building it Martin. It makes an impressive addition to the display when it's done.
  10. Could be Steve, can't find clear answer anywhere but I don't care anyway. Whole point of this build was to try rust techniques and it'll go straight in the display case, so I'm the only one who'll see it. I'm claiming artistic licence... 😁
  11. Nice steady progress harv. I really like the subject but not sure I could be bothered with all the work this kit needs. 👍
  12. So am I harv! My worry is there's still plenty of time to cock it up, so slowly does it.
  13. First steps with rust! Ammo Scratches Effects and faded French Blue over the rusty base colours. Still lots to do with chipping, oils, dry brushing, etc but pretty happy with it as a base to work on. Just the rest of the chassis and bits to go....
  14. Looks great Mark. Says something about masking the Viggen that riveting is a 'better' alternative! 😃
  15. Looking really good. Glad to see someone else who keeps their best clothes for modelling! 😁 I'm sure my wife would love to throw out half of the clothes in my cupboard.
  16. Phil, I think the phrase is 'got their ass handed to them'! Unfortunately I think the Ashes will go completely the other way.
  17. No pics but just got two of the simplest but most useful things I've bought in a long time and only for £7.50 total...... Paint cup lids for my H&S Evolution! No more worries about tipping paint or clear on the model as you move it around during painting. Why didn't I buy these years ago?!?
  18. Not sure I've got the maths correct but looks about £420.
  19. Looking forward to this Kai. Interesting to see how the kit goes. Seen some mixed reviews but not sure how unbiased some are, Italeri seem to generate as much hate as Trumpeter from some people! However, as we know the Mirage III wasn't a picnic anyway! 😃
  20. Nice comparison Mark. Somehow I expected the Viggen to be bigger than the Mirage but actually very similar.
  21. There's a garage up there that does those conversions Carl. They also do some very cool campervan conversions based on VW chassis. Not entirely sure how you're meant to get that down some of the back roads around there though! 😄
  22. Thanks Rob. That is quite an attractive scheme, certainly along the lines of what I was thinking about.
  23. First kit I did when I returned to modelling was the Trumpeter P-47D bubbletop which I 'painted' with rattlecan Tamiya AS-12. I'd like to try it again as a proper NMF now I have an airbrush and slightly more skills. Preferably I'll use masks for the insignia and codes but I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for decals for the nose art?
  24. Ah, sorry Gaz, picked you up wrong there. Stick by my point about the colour range though.
  25. Looks great Tom. Never heard of that museum but will bear it in mind next time we're down visiting the relatives in Portsmouth. Sounds like a good excuse to escape for some peace!
