  1. I could name a couple of places around here who specialise in this...
  2. Can't beat (ha) a good Neil Peart reference!
  3. Nice. What glue does the plastic like?
  4. Nice start. Funny how almost every Jug kit seems to have issues with the height of the cowl at the top and bottom. Just too many curves coming together I suspect.
  5. I'll second all of the above! I'm happy if the windows are clear and straight, never mind moveable!
  6. Nice wheels but how will they go in the funny white stuff in the background?
  7. Getting a new house seems a bit drastic just so you can collect a few more helmets! I'm sure there are other reasons too.
  8. Gosh, I thought you chaps over the pond only drove automatics! That's a sweet looking set-up. Talk about direct linkage. One of our neighbours has a Mustang (mid-life crisis mobile!!) but he only takes it out in decent weather. Kinda sensible given Scottish back roads and weather! But when he does all the local kids are out watching.
  9. Just have to make another trip to Ikea Danny. I'm sure another cabinet would squeeze in somewhere.... and then there's more spaces to fill!
  10. Ah the curse of the mutt! I lost an AIM-7 to one of our Jack Russells on my F-15C build but DennisE in NZ rescued me with a spare.
  11. Nice Danny. Do you have any spaces left in your cabinet for it?
  12. That's a cracking price Wouter. Although, as you say, you'll spend the same again on paint!
  13. Insanely good as ever!
  14. As a kid I remember these being based at our nearest RAF base at Leuchars where my uncle worked. As Phil said they made one hell of a noise but they did go into the sky like a scalded cat. Biggest drawback was the lack of armament but if the sole purpose of an interceptor is to get to the target height as quick as possible it certainly fitted the bill.
  15. Seen smaller crevasses on documentaries about the Antarctic! Hope you've got a lot of filler to hand Rob
  16. Some frightening stats around about how many youngsters (and not so young...) have died taking extreme selfies like this.
  17. Ah that's a real shame. Hopefully the new decal will sit nicely over it. Hope you've got lots of flesh paint for those legs!
  18. RIP, he produced some mighty fine builds. Condolences to those left behind.
  19. Nice looking belts. Hadn't heard of that manufacturer before, so must check them out. Recently did the Mk XVIe and they are great kits but I'd just say watch the engine alignment if you want to get the cowling covers to fit well. Great start here though.
  20. Didn't I see it reported somewhere recently that they've pulled the plug on this as it wasn't particularly stealthy at all and was too expensive?
  21. I'm in please Ernie and I'll donate a Trumpeter A-7E as I somehow managed to order a duplicate.
  22. Having built the Trumpeter Jug my main piece of advice would be to join the spine inserts to the fuselage halves and then join them, rather than as the instructions show. Gets you a far neater finish. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this.
  23. Nice stuff James. I take it it wasn't 'buy one get 5 free' on the Tempests?
