1/48 Wellington Mk.X (He727 NA-K)
GusMac replied to JeroenPeters's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
I do like the Maketar masks although the roundels can be fiddly. Those are fairly simple ones though so hopefully all will be well.- 304 replies

Nice looking choice of scheme. It'll certainly test the old airbrushing skills!

Italeri LCM3 landing craft w/Tasca Firefly Vc
GusMac replied to BlrwestSiR's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Nice, what's the plan for the tracks? Are you going to use some of the 'blackening' solutions available? -
Wow, that seems early for snow even for you guys' latitude? Here in Scotland even October is pretty early for any snowfall other than in the mountains.

Great figures Iceman. Just what scale are they? If they're LSP scale I'm giving up right now!

Thanks for that Cees. Timing isn't set yet and the new headache is whether we'll need an international permit to drive on the continent after the March farce.

Really nice and the figures look great. -
NINE! I don't think I've built that many kits total since the first F4 Corsair came out.

This was a black labrador before someone left that skunk odour remover on it for too long!

Nice Danny. I take it the book is in anticipation of a future release?

Thanks Dennis. Nice to see you're still around. -
Ah, you can't beat a bit of bulk buying.

Great. Where exactly is the museum Cees? We're planning a driving holiday to Europe next year, so it would be ferry to Ijmuiden then onwards, so we could fit it in on the way (if my wife agrees!).
-
Good grief. I hate to imagine the next photo a fraction of a second later. Hope the crew had popped out by that point!

Slovak Air Force is buying F-16 block 70/72
GusMac replied to Martinnfb's topic in General Discussion
Looks like they're buying some serious tech and ordnance as well as the basic airframes. -
Seems like smart move Ernie. I can't imagine trying to mask windows on a vac canopy/window at that scale.
-
I think you do get a decent sense of the oil-canning in those pics Ernie and as you say it looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing how they come out.
-
Another gem Micha. Just love that dirty windscreen.

Help, I need new eyes! That's a lot of small text. Possibly shouldn't have read it on my tablet! Very interesting read though, thanks Martin. -
Bit lacking in windows! Especially for the crew! Never built an airliner kit but I presume all the windows come as decals?

Trumpeter TBM-3 finished
GusMac replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Lovely result John and sooo fast. Takes me a minimum 4-6 months to do anything this size. -
Sounds very interesting. Must try and visit next time we're across.

That looks amazing Cees. Puts everyone's worries about space for the new 1/32 Lanc and Liberator in perspective. I'm assuming you don't keep these at home!

1/24 Airfix Scale Mosquito build
GusMac replied to PeteF's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
I agree Pete, the Vallejo metallics are great, easy to use, no odour and dry well. Used them on my F-15C and F-16 and they are very robust. Engine looks great. Dirty without being filthy.
