  1. Lovely final result and the jug gives a great sense of just how big this beastie is.
  2. Yep, that was worth a snigger, but also ingenious! You obviously don't have a dog who gets to roam free where you're modelling. Our 2 would have thought .. oh, cool a nice bed ..
  3. Nice fix. Cammo looks lovely and worn
  4. Nice solution and looks so much better
  5. I can't begin to comprehend how you fit those bolt heads etc so accurately!!
  6. I'll go with TJTX. I use the Mr Surfacer 1500 black thinned with their Levelling Thinner and you get a great finish although it does stink. I'm always masked up but my wife is never too happy if the smell percolates through any other parts of the house. Hence I tend to prime when I know she'll be gone for a good while!
  7. Looking good!
  8. Superb work again Rich. Such attention to detail in places that'll barely be seen.
  9. Have a good one. Hope you get all you want.
  10. Great example of the exhaust discolouration on the upper wings!
  11. Yeah, I think we sometimes overlook just how nice our landscape is here. When you get the weather there is no place better. Just don't rely on the weather too far ahead!
  12. I'm may be paranoid but I tend to wash everything in a mild detergent solution before I start any kit having had issues with AFV Club and Trumpeter stuff in the past. The AFV Shot Kal was definitely the worst I've ever experienced. Probably didn't help it was Vallejo paint but you could just about roll it off with your finger. Mucho frustration.
  13. Ah, serendipity Pete. Finally get the perfect result and no bl***y idea how to repeat it. Been there before. Result does look beautifully smooth.
  14. Lovely finish, especially on the engine. There's nothing subtle about the Thud, just brute power!
  15. Nice part of the world you've moved to Dennis. Funnily enough we both have a settlement called Glenbervie fairly close by. Went to Whangarei many moons ago on the way to a jet boating trip in the Bay of Islands. Look forward to seeing what you pick to christen the new bench.
  16. Lovely finish. I take my hat off to anyone who can pull off a foiled airframe and that's one of the best.
  17. Our local beach on a nice winters day.. And a favourite dog walking route on a more typical winter's day...
  18. Nice wheels. As Ade says you couldn't park it anywhere over here and it certainly wouldn't be to suited to our Scottish climate except on about 3 days a year! Does look very cool. Amazingly well preserved as well. Again, wouldn't happen in our climate where everything just rots or goes mouldy.
  19. Thanks Maru, didn't find that one when I searched. Cover versions can be a real Marmite thing and I have to say I don't particularly like that one. If you do like 'fun' covers check out Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, a sort-of punk 'supergroup' put together by Fate Mike from NOFX, who do some good ones. A Scottish band called Gun also did a few good ones. They had a minor hit with their cover of Cameo's Word Up but used to do a brilliant live version of Prince's Little Red Corvette.
  20. All I feel I can do when I see your updates Peter is just laugh! The skills on display are just beyond my comprehension but it's great to watch.
  21. Should be a smart a** and post John Cales 4'33" but can't find a shareable version!
