  1. Martin, that truck bottom right in your winter picture looks like it's wearing the Cockney 'Pearly King' cammo!
  2. Make him a scarf out of tissue and white glue! Won't quite match with the shorts and short-sleeve shirt but hey.....
  3. Lovely result Danny and a great save on the Dottie decal.
  4. Cockpit looks great. Given how small the canopy is I'm not sure how much will be seen anyway.
  5. Hi Dennis, the plan is for a well worn Greek scheme but exactly which airframe isn't decided yet. I think I'm going to get the base colours on first and then go from there. Gus
  6. That M4A3 looks like you could drive around in it once it's finished. Huuuuge!
  7. That wing to fuselage joint is very neat given all the work going on.
  8. Nice subtle result. It does bring to mind an old debate one of our physics lecturers liked to have about 'how black is black?'
  9. The Ammo panel line washes are very good and there are a few shades of grey you could switch between to very the 'dirtiness'
  10. I'm desparate for a Spey engined bird but not enough to try and do this to an expensive kit! I grew up just across the river from Leuchars, so saw the 111 and 43 squadron machines doing 'circuits and bumps' all the time. Come on HKM tell us the status! Hats off Cees, that's a great start and I'm sure this will be easyish compared to the Manchester.
  11. Ooh, that's a real shame. Don't know an easy fix for that as NMF is outwith my experience other than a very lame attempt when I first got back into the hobby using rattlecan Tamiya AS-12. Hope you get is sorted as it's looking very cool otherwise.
  12. Lookin good Rob. Those metallics do look great.
  13. Once again just laughably good. Stunning to observe your work Peter but it does make me feel as though I'm knitting with spaghetti by comparison.
  14. That pic sums up why biplanes give me the heeby-jeebies! The thought of getting all that rigging sorted is frightening. Gonna look stunning
  15. Thanks Jeroen. The open hatches should certainly add some real interest to the build.
  16. Is the plywood just a liner for mounting the tanks?
  17. Way to make life difficult for yourself Mark! Result should be stunning though
  18. Cool... and minimal rigging, so might be tempted.
  19. MK1 hobbies do some but I've no idea of the quality. It's a pity Videoaviation don't do some as their Mk82s are stunning and very reasonable.
  20. Nice project Jeroen.. ..and another place to add to the 'must see' list next time we're back in France
  21. Great finish, the leather jacket look perfect.
  22. Great review and a beautiful looking kit. Never had an interest in boat kits but I might pick one of these up due to so many local connections. My late father-in-law also ran a pleasure boat out of Anstruther in the 70s. Unfortunately, the Reaper from Anstruther that James mentions was quite badly damaged in an unfotrtunate accident at a local fish festival in Johnshaven last year. She was tied up under sail in the inner harbour to allow the public on and a freak gust of wind tipped her on her side and threw a few folk into the harbour. Luckily no-one was hurt but quite a bit of damage was done.
  23. Ivan, you need to investigate whether you can make vodka from Vegemite. Might make it palatable if you can drink it!
  24. No idea how that eBay seller goes for North America but for Europe they are great as Ivan says. I've bought a load of stuff from them and it always arrives promptly and the prices are great even if the shipping is factored in. Also, in common with quite a few Chinese and HK sellers they're quite happy to be creative on the customs declaration so that it gets in to the country without getting hammered. Just wish some of the Japanese sellers were so 'flexible' but I don't think that's in their national make-up!
