  1. How much weight do the lights add Danny? Just wondered for the size of the acrylic rod you'll need to support it.
  2. Looks very good Danny.
  3. Nice haul Danny. I'm intrigued to see how the lighting works out. Icarus decals do some nice Greek SLUF schemes. I just picked some up off eBay very reasonably.
  4. Yeah, I agree Danny, each to their own. My reason for using the Gunze is that it's actually easier to get hold of here than IPA!?! Well if you mean isopropyl rather than India Pale Ale! It gets drunk pronto. I do always wear a respirator with it. Cheers, Gus
  5. Shiiiinyyyy!
  6. I'd agree about the Future Danny but I happily thin Tamiya acrylics with Mr Levelling Thinner and have had no issues to date.
  7. Wonderful finish Darren. When I get round to mine I'll be happy if it's half as good.
  8. Thanks for the weigh-in Rich, it's getting hefty! Looks great with it though.
  9. Great to see what can still be achieved with these venerable old kits.
  10. Thanks Barry. As Cees says, its an even more impressive result to know how it was done.
  11. Really nice result. What conversion did you use for the cropped wing tips?
  12. Sorry to hear that Rich. PB really are a shower o' ****! As Rob says, hosting stuff on here works very well if this is your main site for posts.
  13. We'll have to start calling you 'The Head Hunter'! Very cool collection though Danny.
  14. Nice haul and the paint should keep you going for a while. The F4 is a sweet deal at 40 quid!
  15. Ah, hadn't considered that but I suppose with an ammonia base that would be possible. I feel an experiment coming on....
  16. Nice Rich. Just as a matter of interest how much does this thing weigh now?!
  17. Thanks Darren, will have to look into that Humbrol maskol. I've got the Gunze Neo liquid mask and it's too thick to try a technique like that but your results look very nice.
  18. The stripes look suitably 'scruffy' Darren. What technique did you use, hairspray, liquid frisket or somesuch?
  19. Those Harder & Steenbeck airbrushes are great. I have the Evolution 2 in 1 and touch wood I've had no real problems with it so far. Hope you get yours sorted out.
  20. Looks great Rich, just a shame to see so much of that work disappearing under cover.
  21. Looking good Rich!
  22. Thanks Rob. Hard to see how you miss-count by 3 but heh-hoh!
