Are you a LSM member? Then show us your work!
towerpower replied to JeroenPeters's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Cees, the Bronco was started a whole lot of years ago by LSP Lee White from Long island as a vacform project, and i received the basic parts and finished it. The Mohawk on the other hand is scratchbuilt, but i would do that one different today, still waiting for a IM kit Jack. -

Hi everybody, came upon this thread, and being a rookie with LSM, i should indeed present some of my models. Now some of you who know me from LSP, witnessed my very slow building pace, but this picture is covering several 1/32 models, of which the Tigercat (or was it the Kingfisher?) was the last one i completed more or less in 2010/11. Oh, and still have to finish the Lightning nightfighter....go figure: Jack. -
Hmmmm, i saw a scratchbuilt 1/32 Mariner somewhere on the net years ago, and it was very apealing, very.......

hahaah, you're a poet Cees, a real poet.....

Hi Cees, I never saw Tigger's vacforms, i have quite some old ones from Doug Feeney, but i wouldn't know what his vac Firefly is like, but i guess the PMC release is equal to the ID originals probably, just your average basic vacform parts, but the resin detailing kit (which wasn't sold together with the PMC kit, you'd have to pay for them seperately) is another story. And come to think of it, i don't think these parts are resin at all, just "crude/raw" IM plastic parts in a blackish coulor.(haven't looked into them recently) They remind me of the IM detailing parts that were once included in Combat models F7F Tigercat, very basic, lots of sanding corrections to do, but it is possible to bring it out into an acceptable model. BTW, PMC's second kit (beside a hint to a skyraider IIRC) was a Dehavilland SeaVixen (have that one too) I'll try an take some pictures, to show you. Jack.

Guys, i have several fisher kits, and their quality is excellent, and even for a novice in resin pretty good buildable, so i have all confidence in this (indeed MLD!!!) Firefly. And Cees, there is (was) another 1/32 Fairey Firefly FR1, made by the now extinct PMC, Panther Model Club. It's a vacform as far as fuselage and wings are concerned (also clear parts), but it has a complete resin interior, and gear stuff including wheels etc. I managed to pick one up right before they stopped business...... cheers, Jack.

Cees, good to see a dutch version in the progress, i'm going to follow this one closely since this is one of my "future" projects myself, and i'm anxious to see what will become of yours. good luck and have fun, Jack. -
Yep, i'd be happy..... Now...where's that C47 in 35scale??

Very nice build Cees, again it shows these old classics are great with some TLC given into it, looking very good. J. -
Sold some kits, added it up and finally took the step to buy this one: hope to do her justice eventually J.

very impressive paintjob, especially the wood simulation, and IMHO it isn't too dark, looks good from my perspective. You at least did the wood "paint-wise", i bought the Ushi decal wood, just to make it "easy" though i doubt it will...... cheers, jack. -

awesome, just awesome...... I did the Combat 1/32 Tigercat, and had a hard time at it, missed some shape issues here and there, so looking at your project makes me humble, i dof my hat (if i had any) to you. Beautiful.... Jack -
wow, i'm impressed, if this is your first kit after two decades, you MUST be a master builder, looking very good, and indeed a bit "frustrating" when all those goodies are mostly hidden eventually, but your Avenger is looking tops. J.

So excited about a Kitty Hawk release.
towerpower replied to JaseGill's topic in Modelling Discussion
I think the Kingfisher is a cool aircraft, built one vacform and turned out pretty satisfactory, but KH has already made some cancellations on kits they were going to release in 1/32nd scale, like the F11F Tiger, which apparently had a "bad selling rep" ............go figure, even BEFORE it was to be released....i'm a little disappointed, and that's an understatement.- 14 replies

Hi, the Westland Lysander has been released in 1/32 scale, first as a Matchbox, afterwards a Revell kit, though it's fairly basic, but it's a good kit!
-
Hi Steve, have several Mirage kits, and they have all similar instructions, but here and there they have differences too, so what's the number (H-???) or numeric indication on the box? And PM me your personal email address to have the scans sent, ok? cheers, Jack.

And i checked in on it, but i'm looking for korean era figures ofcourse, and i know they might not be so easy to find, but any medical orderly in military outfit ( so not the nurses in traditional hospital outfit) would be fine, even WW2 that would have had a resemblance to it. Anyhow, thanks for your input. J.

Fran, obrigado, i'll be looking into them, thanks for the info. J.
