This time a "C" with a tailhook and in the red/white scheme. The kit is on the way to me from HLJ and I should have it Monday. In the meantime I got a Aires cockpit set from SB and have been working on getting it ready for the model. I plan to finish the model just about like the ones in the photos although I will delete the civilian "N" number and do it as a USN a/c. Stay tuned. :)

Making some good progress. Test fitting the Aires cockpit section and it looks to fit okay. :)

Nice work on the pit

Glad to hear it fits

Thanks Mark. It takes a good deal of trimming but with patience an persistence it can be made to fit. That consists mostly of removing most of the molding block, etc. :)

I've had problems with some of their parts, especially wheel wells, so I'm a bit hesitant to use their stuff. I was pleasantly surprised the cockpit tub fit well after cleanup. (This is the 2nd time I've used one of theirs on a T-28 so I knew ahead of time it could be made to fit.) :)

LOL Phil. Live and learn. I've repainted the rudder with gloss white ENAMEL so the next move is mask off the "stripes" and hope. We will see.:)
