Some stuff came recently......

Mostly tools and supplies;

Some Dspiae UV cure glue.

Decal paper for my laser printer (White) I already used this to print some

Instruments for A 1/16 M10, and some decals for a Brazilian Ft 17. I'll

have to cut these out by hand, but better than nothing.

Models;....A Tamiya Panzer I a, and a "Egg Girl" in 1/12 from Hasegawa

Some Albion brassTubing and Evergreen styrene strip.

Some Tamiya epoxy Putty ,and Mr. Color paint. A call out to

Martin for recommending the Tamiya putty.

Some Decals; For 1/48 Brewster Buffalos, and 1/16 Panzer I tanks from Yellow Wings and Star Decals.

Lastly, from Wave some special shape diamond files and a pair of

reverse-action tweezers. The files look really good and will be great, I'm

sure, for these resin figure things I've accumulated.

Can't wait to see your Buffalo build.  I love those chunky planes, and love yellow wings.  Martin and Ernie have a Buffalo buddy build thread on here that I joined with my 1/48 model a year or so ago.

Thanks. I'm a big fan of the Buffalo myself. I'm not decided on the markings

yet. I have the kit decals, Midway decals, and the ones I just purchased.

I'm leaning towards the battle of Midway markings...I like the blue/grey

scheme, later I'll do another with the Aluminum paint/orange yellow scheme perhaps.

I'm still awaiting a Hobby Boss 1/18 Buffalo, but they never answer my emails😀

I finally got my BNA order from November. It was caught up in the Canada Post strike and I guess they're getting through the backlog.

Mostly 1/48 F-4 stuff

PXL_20250128_011026665.thumb.jpg.4450fc874d0c3354a23b36531bbbf313.jpg

But also decals for the big Jagdtiger and F-35 in the stash too.

Another Item today....It's a biggie in 1/16.

From Das Werk, it's their Sd.Kfz. 250/1 Ausf.A  (DW 16018).

This seems to be a simpler kit than Das Werks earlier half track release.

I like the looks of this thing.  I'll probably buy Andy's new M3 , but seriously,

I can't buy any more😉

I'm going to try to resist temptation by buying only when I complete

A 1/16 scale model. Incidentally, I have a 1/32 model on the way....but

not being 1/16 ,the rules don't apply😀. I'm interested in the 1/35 H 39 that's

going to be released by Tamiya.( not 1/16 again) Seriously, the development and release

Times for both the Das Werk and Andy's kits are incredible! Much too

Tempting ...dangerous ! For now, I'm trying to continue buying the paint and supplies

needed to build my stash. I bought a bunch of paint today and a kit I was

considering because the price seemed reasonable. Hopefully, I'll get home

sometime this week and do some painting.

Well, I got a new hobby room. We were going to be in the new diggs temporarily, but we may stay here for the time being. it is quite a bit more spacious than our old place, so that's a bonus, but I still have WAY too much plastic for just one dude. May cull the stash a tad more perhaps. not made a decision yet.

Anyways=y, when I'm all set up I'll share a picture or 2!

Cheers all!

Not model related, but Lowe’s had a flash sale yesterday for Kobalt socket sets.  How the hell am I supposed to say no to all this for $30??? Huh?!?  I guess I can leave them in my shed out in the front yard so I don’t have to walk all the way around the house to access the garage for my Snap On stuff.
IMG_2915.thumb.jpeg.475372aff92391f5bfbec42c260834a0.jpeg

the 1/4 drive set was $10 and the 3/8 set was $20.  Normally $200 and $20 for 1/4” set.

THis was $30???  Damn, I have to see if it is still on sale...

Nice Carl,  I'm interested in how you like the Eduard seatbelts.  I always had problem with the paint peeling off of them when I bent them.  What's the secret?

Make a spreadsheet of the stash by scale or whatever, you will then have a true picture of the ……….add as appropriate…….…..I believe Scalemates have a built in Stash Manager……

Chris, the newer ones are made from very thin steel rather than the thicker brass of the old ones. They bend easier as a result. But mostly if it these are they're pretty much the only option for belts on an F-4 in 1/48 without getting a cockpit set.

I've found that bending them slowly, they're less likely to lift. Sharp bends are when they tend to peel. If they do peel, I just use Tamiya clear to stick them back down.

Here's a set on my Curtiss Seahawk.

Sorry Chris, it was a one day flash sale.  A lot of guys had a hard time getting the store to honor the price if they walked in without buying online.
I did the online purchase and picked them up in the locker system they use now. Easy as ever!

Not my most liked F1 car, but it´s a classic and I couldn´t let it pass for a good price. Most of Tamiya´s 1/12 re-releases are sold out now and I didn´t want to feel sorry, when it happens with the Lotus. Other than the Brabham BT44 and Porsche 935 the decals are not printed by Cartograph, but are looking good.

Despite this, I ordered a complete set of decals from TB Decals of Italy, which include tobacco sponsors and markings for other drivers and races.
There are also cheaper, partial decal sets out there, but I didn´t want to mix the gold tones with the Tamiya ones. The kit looks a bit simpler than the F1 Renault RE20 Turbo which I built, but it´s an old kit and I guess, building it will need extensive clean up work. I plan to include MFH Aluminum funnels (also not included, other than with the BT44 with the same engine) and of course wires and tubing along with connectors.

Very nice Rob, BRM (British Racing Motors) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Racing_Motors was conceived and ran out of the town within 25 miles of where I live. It had drivers such as Graham Hill and Dan Gurney, always wanted to build some of those early “drive by the seat of your pants” cars………..

I like the old school F1 cigars as well, Phil. I have an 1/20 Ferrari 312 from MFH and still contemplate about buying their 1/12 Eagle T1G, the most beautiful of the F1 racers of this period :2c:.

Cheers Rob
