It can get chilly, like -20 c and the dehumidifier is a good idea....and yes quite damp at times.... although where I am , it's not like at the coast.....
BlrwestSiR
I'm with Martin, go with floor heating. In floor radiant is fantastic. And since you're building it from scratch shouldn't be too hard to incorporate. My y wife regrets not doing it in our kitchen when we reno'd.

GazzaS
Salamander? They crank out the heat and only use a bit of Kerosene last I knew. Seen them at lots of job sites supplying heat in the Michigan winter.

Martinnfb
Today was the day. Bed liner is in, substantial debt is on . Upon arrival I had to remove those hood decals so kids won't mistake my car for Santa's sled . It has pretty much all I wanted except for the LED lights that weren't available when I placed my order. Somebody was super excited . And it speaks Russian too. Because two is better then one And after some time of rubbing off the adhesive residue, it is somewhat presentable. Althou my special operation to eliminate the nazi orange will continue till further notice. 6

Martinnfb
Just my poor attempt to be funny. Orange kills the beautiful sarge green clear coat. According to the current trends , if you call something "nazi" nobody objects your opinion, unless you are complete douche about that such as ......... can't recall Justin's name so quick, anyway Nazi Orange has to go!
BlrwestSiR
Looks much nicer with all the marketing material removed. I've got Fox shocks on my mountain bikes so those are always a good sign. 3

You seem to have fine weather now and it's pure joy to drive open topped. I have both tops, but the hard top is rotting in the garage, as I never liked handling the heavy and sensitive (mine are painted) targa parts. The canvas top is very robust and even stormy conditions are no problem with it. Your ride looks great now and I am a little jealous at your zillion gear automatic, where my JK has only five. In the flat country it should be sufficient, but with our steep mountains here it's often hit and miss. Generally I like the rough appearance of the JK a bit more, so I have to live with that . Martinnfb
Thank You Rob, I was tempted to get the soft top, but I wouldn't use it. Calgary is 1200m over the sea level, located between Rocky Mountains and Alberta prairies . The weather can be unpredictable and savage, storms, hail, even a small tornadoes. Ranging from +30 to -30C. Hard top will seldom go off if ever. Having said that, I am getting a stainless steel SmartCap EVO top, roof insulation, mud flaps, decent rubber mats and rear bench dog cover to began with.

You must have caught one of the better days for taking the pics in your weather tormented home area . On my island the weather changes rapidly sometimes, so for me the soft top is perfect as it is opened or closed in two minutes and I often have to do it on my way, because of changing conditions. The main reason for closing up though is wind, as we have no freezing temperatures except on the highest summits in winter time. Driving open through light drizzle normally is no problem as astonishingly few rain enters the car. We have that very often, when passing the clouds. You seem perfectly prepared for winter conditions with only the exception of an ice bear frontguard with your Jeep. Love the color of yours, which would have been my second choice, if available for my model. Cheers Rob
Martinnfb
I literally picked a moment between two rains to snap those shots. It was a rainy night as well. As I just installed the dead foot pedal and the truck was still wet. Oh, Island living must be so beautiful, ocean breeze , runs on the beach, surfing. Sarge green wasn't on the plane at all, originally I wanted Gobi colour which wasn't available, then it would be Stingray, but the hope around grey kinda killed it for me. So Rachael suggested to have matching colours, sounds silly, but she was right as always, green looks very imposing and changes hue in the light. Nevertheless, my first choice of colour would be Gator.
