That surface looks uber-real, can't wait for more of your magic Tom.

Martin, thanks! After adding a few more bits, it’s off to masking and a Tamiya AS-12 base. I plan to paint most of the markings.

Cheers,  Tom

Nice work, Tom!  Did you do the oil-canning, or was it airfix?

Gaz

Thanks Gaz! It’s all Airfix! They did a phenomenal job with the surface, and I applaud them with stepping past the status quo to do this. I wonder what the molds look like?

You’re killing me, Tom. I

love this kit and now I had to drag mine out and drool over it!

Nice clean job so far. Loving it, every single minute of it.

Ernie, you are too kind! It would be great to see your magic with this kit! I have to write that this is one of my favorite builds in recent years, in any scale.

Looking superb and your way of applying the paint a little patchy supports the stressed surface effect in a beautiful way.

Cheers Rob

Rob, thanks, you are very kind! I was hoping for this effect by using a fine/medium tip with the airbrush. It certainly took longer to paint but I have better control and less overspray.

Cheers,  Tom

Tom

Brilliant progress and love her with the cammo on. Your build has cemented my next build after the Corsair: Car Door Tiffy as well. Super work on the cowl assembly; the final fit with the small wedges looks great. I remember reading somewhere one of the parts for the intake assembly was shown backwards on the instructs. Any problems here?

Keep 'em comin

Peter,

Thank you! You will have a blast, and I would really enjoy watching your work. I didn’t encounter any issues, but it might be because I didn’t have the engine exposed, or maybe I wasn’t paying attention like I should!

Cheers,  Tom
