yknu
This model is made from the HK Models pre-series sprues that I got from Neil Yan in Hong Kong June 2013. Me and my wife were having our two week 20th anniversary trip in Asia. I had promised to the her that I will use only one day from theis two weeks for modeling. She knows that when ever we travel, I have to visit local modeling stores, museums and airshows, which she also likes a lot. It took me more than three years to finish this model. Here are some details: Flying Fortress B-17G-65-BO (43-37544) D-Day Doll 477th BG, 710th Sq Late spring 1945 at Rattlesden airfield, UK Model: HK Models 01E04 B-17G FLYING FORTRESS Scale 1:32 Main reference: http://www.447bg.com/43-37544.htm Main lacquers used for aluminum Alclad ll ALC-119 Airframe Aluminium, Mr. Metal Color 218 Aluminium, Model Master Metalizer 1401 Aluminium Plate Main coating Humbrol Clear Gloss Varnish Main colors Yellow: Model Master Acryl 4721 Insignia Yellow Red: Model Master Acryl 4714 Insignia Red Blue: Model Master Acryl 4742 Insignia Blue Green: Mixed from Valejo 007 Olive Green and 094 Green Zinc Chromate Olive Drab: LIFECOLOR UA 221 Khaki Olive Drab, UA 225 Olive Drab Faded Type 2 faded with yellow and white Main Weathering 01E04 Model AMS Resin: 32097 Prop governors Zotz Decals & Figures: 32059 Decals Video: https://youtu.be/mvOd_2Hwh9YWinsor&Newton Artisan water mixable oil colors Nose Art left (port) side of the plane Self painted and printed decal based on wartime color picture Special thanks to: :

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted February 1, 2019 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2019 Very nice job on the big Boeing. I like whe weathering and your subtle extra details. Just enough without going too overboard.

HubertB
You are in the Wingnut Wings "Ready for inspection" sub-forum of the LSM finished work. I am the first to admit this is a bit confusing, but it was, I believe, a decision at the time to have a special focus area on WnW WWI kits. Probably not necessary anymore now, as they have become "mainstream" for a lot of modelers. As for moving your thread, this is admin privilege, so you should ask the staff. Cheers Hubert
