Seriously though, Mid to high 90s pretty much guaranteed. Might get lucky and witness triple digits. You got that backwards, triple digits guaranteed, might get lucky and see high 90s. Bring lots of Gold Bond for your balls.
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted March 9, 2020 Administrators Share Posted March 9, 2020 Yep, count on mid to high 90s for sure, with a high likelyhood of triple digits. What makes it unbearable is the humidity off the Gulf of Mexico. When you have a South Wind, it can get extremely miserable extremely quickly.

TJTX
I certainly hope it doesn't cancel. I'm planning on going and it would be my first and probably only Nationals in the foreseeable future.

That's a long way off, and viral illnesses usually decline drastically in the summer months as people get out and spend less time cooped up indoors. It's hitting my area (the PNW) right now, and we expect it to last until about June before it winds back down here, slightly later for the central states. I wouldn't cancel your reservations just yet!! 2

I will have to wait for Vegas before I can go again, though Vegas is hellacious in August too. Why does this dang convention have to be in August anyway? Plus, it's always in someplace hotter than the devil's ballsack for that time of year. Never in some cooler northern city like Seattle.

smitty44
I hardly think this is all the end of the world yada yada, but chances are slim that I will get on an airplane for a while. I just don't see all the vendors coming, especially those from Europe, and very few people will have money to spend on a trip for a modeling convention. Probably setting my sights on Reno...fingers crossed.

leitch144
I would think it would be done by August, no quarantine by then.
Bomber_County
Wouldn’t count on it, I expect Telford will be cancelled in November. As Smitty said with vendors travelling and the general lack of spare cash......
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 25, 2020 Administrators Share Posted May 25, 2020 Maru I’m gonna miss seeing you, but next time!! I’m not holding out much hope over it working out well. It might turn out to be the best attended regional show in quite awhile, but nowhere near last year in Chattanooga. I’ll drive down for a day or two but I’m not thinking I’ll do all week.

smitty44
Well this summer is certainly awash, however it better be all hands on deck next year. https://ipmslv.wixsite.com/website-1 This one will be a huge draw for families as well. I just see mayhem.

TJTX
Yea, I cancelled my hotel reservation a few weeks back. I won't be attending either and Vegas won't work for me. I'm frustrated that the one Nationals I could have gone to was screwed up by this fiasco. Maybe in another couple years it'll swing back this way.....
