You are the man!!! That looks so good! You've hit a high with this weathering. I look forward to doing some foil work on our Skype Hawker Hunter build! I'm continuing on with the HH53 so I'll show you my progress when we Skype today.
-
Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I'm a product of LSM, lol!! Building a 1/48 Revell HH53 now while I wait for Arno to get has web cam situated. He and I are going to "Skype" build the Revell 1/32 Hawker Hunter together. We're mounting web cams looking down on our build tables so we can work together 4650 miles apart, lol!! It's going to be great fun!! We'll of course post our progress once we start.

1/32 Revell Beaufighter TF X conversion

Cees how do you like the Flory washes?? I've seen him use it on his YouTube videos and have become very curious. Is it as easy as painting on as you did, letting it dry and then wiping away with damp paper towel, and then set? -

Those hand painted D-Day pants look fantastic. I really like that touch of realism! -

Absolutely stunning workmanship!! That is just beautiful canopy and all!! -
I wonder if the pilot could have a head, lol!! Should be beautiful!
-
Oh my that had to hurt! Glad the pilot survived and equally good to hear that beautiful plane was repairable.

Outstanding job Paul. Following with great interest as I'm approaching my first armor build. I can only hope my Tamiya Panther looks one percent as good, lol!! -
Powdered Weathering Pastels (What do you use?)
RalphSarc replied to RalphSarc's topic in Modelling Discussion
I really liked the effect I got using the light gray, gun metal and rust to highlight the panel lines. It made them pop out of all that black paint. My next build is going to be a 1/32 scale Revell Lockheed P38J Lightning and a 1/35 Tamiya Panther Tank for the Beaches to Berlin group build. Both will be in camouflage colors so looking forward painting on the panel lines in black and then applying the camouflage over that with the weathering. The pastels in combination with a liquid wash adds such detail and interest. I'm not a fan of extremely heavy weathering but a little wear and tear looks great. -
I think I may start it next before the P38J since I have time. I did some research today and posted that on my Facebook group, link below! Looked for some color schemes but kind of like the box art!
-
LOL you think so?? I've heard fantastic things about it. I understand its a great introduction kit into the wonderful world of armor modeling :-) I look forward to building it.

My Tamiya 1/35 scale German Panther Tank finally arrived. I'm building it and a 1/32 scale P38J Lockheed Lightning for LSM's Beaches to Berlin group build. This will be my first armor build so looking forward to learning a whole new set of modeling skills. Should be great fun!!

I'll have to check out Spruce Brothers when I get ready to start the build. Since I'm close to finishing my Ju88 build I ordered Edward seatbeats, remove before flight ribbons and photo etched instruments panels for my Beaches to Berlin P38J Lockheed Lightning build. I may also wire it for LED lights too!!

After two nightfighters in a row I'm over black, lol but this is a very attractive aircraft dressed in gloss black so I will do the same! Did you use the cockpit decals out of the box? I assume you ordered the seatbelts direct from Edward?
