  1. You keep searching for excuses NOT to model! Pffff, some dampness on the floor.... Just be a MAN like me and confess you just don't do anything with your models! :P
  2. " I gave Erik an opportunity to take a look at my recently acquired HpH Me410. As Erik fondled the parts he was explaining to his sons this was a quality kit short run with incredible detail. Then the words, "this kit is hideously expensive!" rolled out of his mouth. Unknown to Erik, my wife was standing behind him." http://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/2895-thrown-under-the-bus/?hl=caught#entry39250
  3. Looks good! Does the kit come with a cart or something to pose the Ohka on? This really looks like THE kit one should build as one's very first resin project! Maybe I should buy one before delving into the Me 410 or the L-39!
  4. Wow! That model turned out great, John! I'm glad you posted it! I really like the differences in hue in the camp and the effects of dirt, realizing full well that they jump out because of the flash and are far more subtle under daylight! Cheers, Erik.
  5. It's a Czech manufacturer of short-run kits. The quality is very good for the short-run end of the business. http://www.fly814.cz Cheers, Erik.
  6. That car is shaping up great, Steven! I like the green came too!!
  7. Hi Johann, do you mean it has St. Petersburg license plates? Or something else?
  8. Great subject, Michael!! Very nicely built too! I've taken the liberty of editing the scale in the title for you! Cheers, Erik.
  9. In that respect, it was great to see the "Airbus Industries" Messerschmitt Bf 109G in the air at Flying Legends at Duxford. Although it really is a Hispano-Aviación built HA-1112-M1L Buchón that got a Daimler-Benz DB-605A engine retrofitted. Matthias Kabel on Wikipedia
  10. Blasphemers!!!
  11. Wessex HC.2!!!!!
  12. Very nice! If I'm correct, Rick is building the same model too, at the moment? Or did he finish it already?...
  13. Great finish! I love the characteristic wear on the wing tops over the oil coolers!
  14. Great model, Alexandr! I take it that this is a British Army vehicle or is it RAF - Desert Air Force? Looks like a great little truck to complement an 1/48 RAF bomber!!
  15. German pilot landed on an Allied occupied airfield and surrendered. You see him being marched off by an armed guard.... I don't know if the landscape is correct for the airfield in question and the vantage point is errrrr.... special....
  16. Yeah, nice tabletop model, looks attractive!
  17. Very nice doggie!!!
  18. Yeah, that's the difference between us as we talked about in the LHS. You can plod along, deciding along the way what scheme it's going to be while I need to have decided how it's going to be and have all the necesarry materials already at hand.... Something about compulsive behaviour, I'm afraid!
  19. I noticed that HK doesn't include the inner exhaust shrouds. I have no idea if these were removed in the field or not like the shrouds on P-51 Mustangs... The shroud on a 6-stack 2-stage Merlin set-up: Julien Dixon
  20. This one was delivered this afternoon. Great, because the pilots will convert to the bomber version! Plus I'll see if I can make castings of the throttle assembly, reel antenna winch and the radio set to use in the HK kit.
  21. GREAT interview with our resident Staff-Kiwi, Fran!!!
  22. Seen the photos on my home computer. Cees, looks terrific! I like the extra detailing at the waist gun positions! If you choose a 1/2 NMF - 1/2 OD/NG B-25, chances are that the top turret and waist guns were removed...
