    M-1A was the non selective version of the M-14.

    The M-1A/M-14 was intended to replace the M-1 Garand and the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR). And as usual, trying to replace 2 weapons with one usually fails. I was privileged to have a select fire M-14 as my issue weapon when I was a HH-1K Crew Chief.

    Will build these to represent Israeli and Syrian units from the 1948 War of Independence.

    Heard more than a couple of bad reviews on this kit. Hope they (someone) comes out with a canvas mantlet cover like whats on the box art but not in kit. And maybe an A2 conversion (diesel)

    Just when I think I have everything for my IDA Spitfire build, they come out with something else.

    May look silly. But the amount of time it has saved me from chasing stuff from the "concrete monster", it doesn't matter Apron

    Firefly armed with a 17 pdr (76.2mm/3in.). Much more suited to take on a Panther.
