Fokker E.V / D.VIII Parasol Mikro Mir 1/32
Kaireckstadt replied to DocRob's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Stunning little bird Rob. It’s so colorful! You should make a photo with a coin beside it or a post a photo here with her bigger sister so that we get a feeling how tiny it is. -

Great looking bird and diorama Mike! The 2 figures rock it! -

Thanks for your feedback Gaz! I always spend more time with the pits since it is one of the few things to take a closer look at at a jet.- 719 replies

Israeli Mirage III C with Atar9C
Kaireckstadt replied to Kaireckstadt's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Finished the cockpit yesterday. The parts got flat varnish (I use Xtracolor exclusively) and some details like buckles were picked out with Tamiya Clear Gloss. Only thing missing now is the glass of the HUD which will be added at a later stage of the build.- 719 replies

That looks great. Is this all kit-parts or did you add AM? The way you weathered the floor is stunning!

PCM Focke Wulf FW 190 A-1/A-2/A-3
Kaireckstadt replied to GazzaS's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
That’s my opinion too and I would paint it like on the aircraft on the first picture and then add the exhaust staining: -

But don’t misunderstand me Gaz: It‘s up to you to decide. Nobody can really tell what it is except the maintenance personnel who did maintenance on the plane.... -

But it looks as if there’s a black painted surface below the stain, Gaz. Look at the enlarged picture: an exhaust-stain will never create such a sharp demarcation line: -

The blending in looks gorgeous to me Gaz! Beautiful looking surfaces. Quite realistic. Regarding the exhaust stains to my personal gusto it looks a little bit too much. I‘ve found no foto of a 190 A with really heavy exhaust staining. But it’s up to you and maybe I‘m wrong... -

Hey that’s what I call progress! The put in the fuselage looks great! The fit is very good Carl, isn’t it? And also the Blue looks spot on. Which color from which supplier is this? When I build mine I had some problems with the exhaust-pipes some of which I had to lengthen because they were to short for connecting them to the cylinder heads. This could also have been a fault of mine during engine-assembly but would be seen clearly when the engine is exposed. Do you have the same issue Carl? Keep on with your awesome work! -
Looking quite good after your treatment! How big the tailfin is. You thumb is good for comparison! The size is that of some 32nd scale wing of a single seat fighter! I attached a foto of the aileron of my Lancaster compared to the wing of a Bf 109 F! These 4 engined bombers were real beasts... Hope that your next update comes soon!

What a crisp detail taking into account the size of it. Looking at the foto I would never believe that this is 1/72! Beautiful build! -

Excellent progess Peter. The pit looks really very nice! The way you draped the belts looks absolutely convincing. As if the pilot just left the pit... So you nearly finished the challenge cockpit. Only the headrest missing! What‘s next on the list? Engine or undercarriage? Waiting for your soon update...! -

I had the same trouble Peter. But this is nothing which can‘t be fixed and is it a wonder? These parts are so tiny! Looking forward to seeing your progress very soon! It‘s such a lovely kit! -

What a colorful variant Rob ! Didn’t know until now, that the Poland Air Force flew this plane. Will turn out as beautiful as her bigger sister! -
Your G-2 is stunning build, Jerry! I‘m a fan of mottling on a 109 and yours is a perfect example. Very well done! Is this the Revell variant of the Hasegawa kit? Who was the pilot of your beauty? Good choice of decals because the bar and the 8 in yellow are real eye-catchers! Are they Eagle Cals? I think you can build Franz Schiess‘ plane out of the box when you build the Revell G-2. Do I remember right? Looking forward to seeing another one of your 109s here! Thanks again Cheers Kai
