  1. Your G-2 is stunning build, Jerry! I‘m a fan of mottling on a 109 and yours is a perfect example. Very well done! Is this the Revell variant of the Hasegawa kit? Who was the pilot of your beauty? Good choice of decals because the bar and the 8 in yellow are real eye-catchers! Are they Eagle Cals? I think you can build Franz Schiess‘ plane out of the box when you build the Revell G-2. Do I remember right? Looking forward to seeing another one of your 109s here! Thanks again Cheers Kai
  2. Great, Cees! You’re really fast with this beast! Waiting for the next update!
  3. That‘s an interesting topic! Please show us the progress of your build here!
  4. Thanks Mike! Which Hellcat will you start? The Airfix 24nd scale ?
  5. Thanks for your feedback Peter. Up to now this kit makes lots of fun. Hope this will last when it comes to the wings, tail and intakes because these seem to be the bottlenecks of the kit...
  6. She‘s coming to life! Awesome looking bird with a beautiful camo scheme, Gaz. I really love it!
  7. Stunning progress on your build, Carl. The cockpit looks awesome! Nice subtle weathering! I used the Barracuda Cals for mine and remember that it took hours to apply. Made the same experience like you with the holes for the engine harness. But how will you get them even more centered (because they are) ? The engine of the kit is great and this will add much realism to it. I hope that the next update will come soon!
  8. Today I managed to finish the weathering of the cockpit-components. Next step is flat varnish and then pick out the buckles with gloss.
  9. Good idea to do it this way Harv! Looks really good and convincing and is enough from my point of view!
  10. I really like the livery you choose! Very nice and a great build of this big beast! What‘s the next on your table?
  11. Fantastic build, Frank ! Your speed is impressive. I love to follow your awesome work. It‘s just sit back and enjoy!
  12. Thank you for your nice feedback Jerry! Marseille is one of my favorite pilots of WW2. I try to put my models into a small scene so that the viewer can imagine a story behind the model. And it also is a good training to painting figures which I hated a couple of years before. But with simple techniques it’s not that complicated. You will laugh, I‘ve also build a second one of his aircraft (see attached fotos). Which one did you build and which one do you plan to?
  13. Ian, you are really a master with the brush! You have picked out the details just right! Looks stunning!
  14. I‘m speechless Rob! This is simply stunning. Are these kit-decals or Aviattic?
  15. Thanks for your feedback Gaz! Really appreciate that. You are right, he is a really tragic figure. I sometimes thought how his career would have continued if he didn’t die when he bailed out. He was the third fighter pilot to reach 150 victories and all in the west. The other 2 were fighting at the Ostfront. The film you mentioned is old but still very nice.
  16. Thanks for the explanations! Very helpful! Is this Quinta or RefFox? Looks awesome! Scale is 48? Is this a Mirage-Cockpit?
  17. How could I miss this?! That‘s amazing work Mark. You are the brass-man! Beautifully done! Will follow this from now on!
  18. I need to take a look at that earlier! It is incredibly beautiful what you are creating here! I‘m speechless. Never have seen such impressive scratchbuilding!
  19. They have to be handled like Decals, Mike.
  20. Great start Jeroen and really nice brass-stuff! Looks really beautiful!
  21. Thank you for your compliment Mike. You are right: the Aires-Figures are really nice and crisp. The Homuth-figure even has a cigarette between his fingers. Only the smoke is missing...
