  1. That looks great Rowdy! How did you do the chipped paint? I love the engine and auxiliary section. That’s simply amazing
  2. Beautiful progress with stunning detail! Kai
  3. That’s looking really gorgeous Rob. Very nice subtle weathering! Looking forward to seeing the final result! Cheers Kai
  4. Copy this! Very good start and progress! The tail-assemblies look really great!
  5. Thanks for your feedback! I also realized this when painting the figures. You‘re right, they all don‘t look very happy. Maybe the sculpturer had the same thought that you had too. I think I would’ve looked the same way if I had to leave for such a suicide-mission as the Dambuster-Mission.
  6. Thanks for your kind feedback, Dennis! Much appreciated!
  7. That’s a lot of work to do, Harv! Good idea to insert a plain sheet. Another idea would be to use the upper wing as a floor for the wheel-well, but regarding the other problems that it causes it may be too much effort. But it would make the building up of the details in it much easier because of the space for working.
  8. I bought a set from ICM which offers RAF Ground Personnel I 1/32 scale. The pilot and flight-engineer of my Lanc are also from an ICM Set in 1/32. These figures are die-cast and of superb quality! I‘ve enclosed 2 photos of the box arts. Kai
  9. Good that you were able to solve the problems with the decals! What I also sometimes do is to „glue“ the decals to the surface with Future/Pledge Floor Polish and seal them with another coat of the same stuff. Then the connection to the surface is better and slivering probability further reduced. Cheers Kai
  10. Thank you Rob! The poses the sculpturer chose are really nice. After these 10 I will make a pause from assembling and painting figures. I need some aircraft-parts in my hands now...
  11. Thanks for your feedback, Ian. I was a little bit disappointed of the figures because some rework (blowholes) had to be done and the casting quality was not that good taking into account the high price (e.g. compared to Ultracast-Figures). Since there is no instruction sheet included and the bags and parachutes came in one plastic-bag it wasn’t easy to find out which bag belongs to which figure. Also some heads were reversed in the bags for the figures. So it took some time to align everything. The photo on the box is only partly helpful. You also have to add all handles from sheet or tape and adapt them. And the caps have to be reworked to fit to the hands carrying them. Finally no painting instructions are included. I had to search for color-photos in the net (which I enclosed here). Thank you also for the advice with the color of the pigeon-boxes. I will change this to yellow. If you need any assistance regarding the allocation of the parts to each figure feel free to ask me. Cheers Kai
  12. Great finish, Rowdy! Look absolutely realistic! Everything is spot on!
  13. Thank you. Much appreciated! Maybe you should give it a try?
  14. In addition to the other accessories I already presented to you I today want to show you my Lancaster-Crew for my Dambuster-diorama. Took 6 weeks to assemble and paint all the figures. I meanwhile corrected the belt buckle color to silver (see last photo) .
  15. I‘m speechless! That’s so beautiful! Where did you get all these tiny bits from? The infusions, the bottle, all the accessories. The uniforms painting is amazing. Is the avionics board visible ? So much detail and so many things to see. Outstanding work, Pete!
  16. This is amazing! Perfect model, perfect figures and a great scene! Simply wow in every aspect! Please show us more of your work!
  17. Stunning livery. This will be a real eyecatcher wherever displayed! Can‘t wait to see it finished!
  18. Sounds nice ! Looking forward to seeing it finished. Do you paint faces and flesh with AK Oils? Which set from AK is it? Want to give it a try! Thanks!
  19. But the result up to now is awesome! I love the look of the belts. Hope you finish her soon so that we can see the complete model on its base. Did you meanwhile finish the Jeep?
  20. Good ideas, Gaz! And what about small Tamiya-Tape stripes? Or is it too thick? Cheers Kai
  21. Interesting technique Rob! Haven’t heard about the colors you used before. Looks really good. Looking forward to seeing the progress!
  22. Interesting idea, Gaz! With what kind of Decals will you do that?
